Divine trickster? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I need a prestige class for a rogue/favored soul, that gets me pretty much the same thing the Arcane Trickster does for arcane casters, letting me keep up both my rogue skills and divine caster levels. I just haven't been able to find one in a week of searching. Even though it seems like a less effective combination than rogue with arcane caster, I have a concept in mind I'm looking forward to running, but it won't work without a PrC that supports it.

I really appreciate any help.

Black Flame Zealot is one. Temple Raider of Olidamara is one that doesn't stack spell casting, but has its ownlist. That's all that came to mind, sorry. You could however try reworking the AT to be a DT instead. What that would entail: less spell casting (divine is better at buffing for melee, so you have to do this just to be sure). Possibly some other stuff too. I'm sure if you searched the boards you'd find somebody that did this.

Shadowbane Stalker (CAd) although it is LG only and I'd have to check the prereqs to see if Favored Soul can get in.

Thank you Steven, you reminded me of Pelor's Shadow Guard. Shadowspy (CChamp) is a divine casting advancing PrC that has some rogue helping abilities. No SA stacking though. Also, RAW, favoured souls can't enter, because you have to be a paladin or cleric of Pelor. Bah I say! FS should be allowed enterance too!

Are you a gnome? Are you a worshiper of Garl Glittergold? Cause, if so, there is a class in races of stone litterially called Divine Trickster.

Did someone mention the Divine Trickster? (http://www.giantitp.com/Func0015.html) Considering that this is on the site of one of the authors of Dungeonscape, among other things, I would say it is quite good quality - and alongside with the Shadowbane Stalker, the best of the lot. Other than that... IIRC Drow of the Underdark had the Eye of Lloth, but I don't remember the particulars right now. It had medium spellcasting and a bit of stealth, though.

Edit: the DT doesn't require a domain, per se - but you need to be able to cast spells from that domain. Your character needs to know Shatter, Aid, or Invisibility. I would presume aid would be the easiet choice, although imo the weakest of the three.

That's Divine Prankster, and it's a Bard mimic, not Rogue.

Duh! I completely forgot about that! I don't remember the PrCs from there, so I wasn't even thinking of it.

Thanks for the assist. The Stalker is very good for my character, except for the LG thing. If the DM lets me take it for a LN character, then I could go into that class and also Black Flame Zealot if I'm willing to use a bunch of feats to qualify.

I also happened to find Divine Disciple from the Realms main book. Doesn't help my rogue abilities, but one level of that will allow a favored soul to get a domain. Good trick.

One? I thought it was, hmm, four or so. Also, it would help if you find a way to get knowledge (religion) as a class skill - IIRC CChampion allowed you to get it instead of Arcana.

@Neovid: it is mentioned in the Stalker adaptation paragraph that one can certainly remove, or change, the adaptation requirement.
