Fiddletink 11-18-07, 05:34 PM	there are several different prestige classes for double-casters (Wizard+Sorcerer, Arcane+Divine, Arcane+Warlock, Divine+Warlock, and so on...) Does anyone know of one that can be used for two divine classes? Looking for hopefully a Favored Soul (Spontaneous Divine) and Cleric (Prepared Divine)... I was hoping at the very least one of the ones meant for sorcerers would just say spontaneously cast X lvl spells and not spontaneously cast X lvl arcane spells. Thanks ahead of time.

Two good reasons it wouldn't exist are CoDzilla. Wizards wouldn't allow something that powerful into a splat book unless it had no other class features. It would be too strong to add anything to it.

Origin of Codzilla: It bears saying: if up against a logic-impervious DM who thinks Core is balanced and Psionics isn't, then the most powerful way to disprove that is to play a C.o.D. (Cleric or Druid). Noncore material will not be necessary unless you are going for pure overkill. So by all means, if you must win that argument, take you C.o.D. to town. Annihilate the opposition. Make the NPCs and other players scream "Oh no, it's C.o.D.zilla!!!!!" in badly dubbed English. Breathe radioactive fire. Knock down buildings. Then stomp out of the burning Tokyo that is the ruins of the game and swim off into the ocean, seeking a DM with some basic cognitive functions.
Jaxgaret 11-18-07, 11:05 PM	I would say that a straight adaptation of the Ultimate Magus for dual-divine spellcasting progression would be more than balanced, if not underpowered. Only straight divine casters qualify for CoDzilla; multiclassing dilutes the 'zilla.
Fiddletink 11-19-07, 03:43 AM	the CoDzilla arguement here is already sorta nulled due to Mystic Theurge and Eldritch Disciple, both do half of what I am going for already... I am willing to lose a few casting levels along the way as long as Most of the casting levels are maintained, the difference between lvl 16 Favored Soul 8(4th lvl spells)/ Cleric 8(5th lvl spells) and lvl 16 Favored Soul 3(11)(5th lvl spells)/ Cleric 4(11)(6th lvl spells)/ PrC 9 or whatever (no I didn't check what spells levels went with what class levels, I just wanted a theoretical example) is pretty big when it comes to having relevant spells for the party level, it will still be lower than either would be alone, but even with No other class features (like Mystic Theurge) it would still be beneficial enough to mix the prepared stuff and spontaneous utility stuff
