| Beau03-13-07, 01:31 AM | My DD character has a claw/claw/bite natural attack option........1. how is base attack applied? (he is at base attack +6/+1 with weapons at this time). 2. does strength bonus apply to bite? 3. Can he use breath weapon on a successfully bitten opponet in same round? 4. can power attack be used with natural weapons? 5. How does one with natural weapons do damage in a grapple? 6. If he is under the effects of an enlarge person spell does anything about his breath weapon change: size, range, damage?? A lot of questions I know, thanks for any help |

Without a feat called Multiattack, your secondary natural attacks suffer a -5 on their attack. Multiattack reduces this to -2. #2: Yes. (reference the MM3.5 at the back to doublecheck) #3: No, a breath weapon is used as a standard action. It cannot be used with an attack. #4: Yes. #5: Your natural weapons are usable in a grapple. You use them like you would any normal weapon you are allowed to use in a grapple (although you only still get one attack per check IIRC). #6: Nothing about the breath weapon changes at all. Your natural damage increases for your natural weapons, but the breath weapon is a magical effect of sorts. Hope this helps. |

Yes, but as a secondary natural attack, you only get 1/2 your bonus to damage. No, you cannot bite and breath at the same time. Yes, Power Attack adds +1 damage per -1 to hit with natural weapons. You can attack with natural weapons at a -4 penalty in a grapple. You do not have to make grapple checks to attack with natural weapons in a grapple. No, changing size does not change your breath weapon. |
