Confusion567 07-13-07, 06:06 PM	The Dragonheart Mage (Races of the Dragon) gains the Draconic Breath feat as a bonus feat, which allows the spontaneous arcane caster to give up one spell slot to use a breath weapon that deals 2d6 per level of the spell expended. Later levels of the class upgrade this damage to 2d8 and then to 3d6. However, the sorceror interested in this class already has the feat, and has been using it a great deal. Would it be unbalancing or too powerful to shift the damage up a step? That is, at 1st level, the draconic breath would upgrade to 2d8, and then where the class normally upgrades to 2d8, would reach 3d6. The last upgrade would also shift up a step, though I'm not sure to what (3d8 would be the obvious choice, though that seems as though it might be a little much).

I would just offer him a bonus dragonic feat of his choice. :)
