I am playing a Dwarven Duskblade in the realms who is fighting the Red Wizards and their Knights. I have been building my character to cut down the Knights to get to the wizards. I am looking for a good prestige class for a magic melee build. Anyone have any ideas that can help me?

The Duskblade is often the gold standard for base classes when looking for PrCs that require a touch of spellcasting. At some point you could qualify for Spellsword, Eldritch Knight, and/or Abjurant Champion but none of these (even the AbC) really does much for a Duskblade. If you were an Elf instead of a Dwarf I'd maybe recommend Arcane Archer. A PrC from the DMG to look at may be the Dragon Disciple; you may not get new spells but you do get more slots and the physical improvements can make you much stronger in melee. I'm sure there are others if these don't help.

In all honesty: more duskblade. That's really the best option unless you have some very specific ability you want.

If you are going after the Red Wizards, you may want to try Occult Slayer. Doesn't improve your caster level at all, but it does give you some nice abilities for fighting spellcasters. If you are wanting to focus on melding your magic and melee even more...you might as well stay with Duskblade.

Keep advancing as a duskblade unless there's some PrC ability you feel you just have to have. It doesn't get much better than duskblade for a magic melee build.

Duskblade, Duskblade, and more duskblade.

They get dimension door and the ability to quick cast it four times a day. You've got a wizard behind some knights? Don't cut down the knights to get to the wizard, hop in there, cut down the wizard with one single full round attack, and then cut down the knights. Oh, slashing dispel if they've got buffs up.

A member of my group is trying the following build out. Duskblade-3, Wizard-5, Abjurant Champion-5, Eldritch Knight-7.

Normally you want Duskblade 13, for the full channel. In addition to that, you can get more spells with Wyrm Wizard or Fiend-Blooded. Mage of the Arcane Order or a single level of Sandshaper rocks.

One level of Sorcerer for the Divine Companion is good.

Is the feat gained at Wizard 5 worth it when compared to what you'd get for EK 8? Getting that level of EK means giving up that wizard feat is worth +1 BAB and indirectly Caster Level, +1 hp on average, and a +1 WILL save; I'd happily select a feat that gives me +1 BAB, CL, hp, and WILL save.

I'd change that build to duskblade3/wizard4/ultimatemagus4/spellsword1/abjurantchampion5/eldritchknight3, don't forget to use the practice spellcaster trick to advance your wizard casting when going into UM.

I think that past lvl 13, there's little reason not to go Abjurant Champion. Even though the iconic bonus to the AC on abjuration spells might be less useful to a duskblade than to the average Gish (though an AC-enhanced Deflect can be quite juicy imo), it offers some pretty decent stuff. Automatic expend, limited quicken, and the ability to use spend the Duskblade's fairly plentiful spell slots for a lot more than Arcane Strike gets you - these should count for something.

Well, I don't know if its viable but the Arcane Channeling + Dervish Dance (you need Praticed Spellcaster to pull it off) with two Scimitars and TWF and cast something like Vampire Touch or Toxic Blade (consider Arcane Disciple with Destruction Domain or the like) while Dancing (would depend on DM ruling).
