| Tsuka02-03-08, 09:11 PM | Hi everyone :) I'm looking for a prestige class. My DM says that should take a book-made class, but after much searching i haven't found any suitable for both what I was looking for and Eberron. Most of the good ones need the ability to cast arcane magic, but... Infusions aren't arcane magic. :weep: Im looking for some kind of inventor class, further specializing an artificer somehow. maybe a tinker that works better with constructs, or builds vehicles better, like a lyrandar airship or new types of elemental vessel; or maybe not an elemental vessel at all, but some new means of power... My character is a Warforged, so anything specific to humans is probably not an option... Any Suggestions? |

If your dead set in a PrC though you might want to take a look at the Maester from Complete Adventurer. Iirc its a 5 level PrC that greatly improves your Craft skill. I could be wrong though. |

I do think they might benefit from more possible prestige classes on some more specific themes, though: for example, a necromancy-oriented artificer, who can steal life force to add to his craft reserve with a death-knell type effect (maybe as an added infusion he could add to a weapon used for a killing blow) to add to his craft reserve, gain infusions which make items control the undead who wear them (for instance, put a necklace around a skeleton, then put an undead-controller infusion in the necklace). Or a rogue/artificer hybrid oriented toward sabatoging enemies, with stealthy skills like hide/move silently in class, some "demolition" type abilities, and "negative infusions" which put temporary curses on weapons and armor instead of temporary enhancements. However, for Tsuka, whose artificer is mainly interested in doing normal artificer things, there's no real need. Just take feats like bind elemental and craft construct.:) |
