Eldritch Ballista

Hit Die: d6

Requirements
To qualify to become an Eldritch Ballista, a character must fulfill the following criteria.
Skills: Knowledge (Arcane) 13 ranks, Spellcraft 13 ranks.
Feats: Focused Eldritch Blast*, Empower Spell-like Ability (Eldritch Blast)
Invocations: Must know at least four blast shape or essence invocations.
Special: Eldritch Blast Class Ability

Base Attack Bonus: Poor
Saves: Will Good, Fort and Ref Poor

Class Skills
The Eldritch Ballista’s class skills (and the key skill for each ability) are Bluff (Cha), Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Disguise (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Knowledge (Arcane) (Int), Knowledge (the Planes) (Int), Knowledge (Religion) (Int), Profession (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), and Use Magic Device (Cha).

Skill Points at Each Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Class Features
All the following are class features of the Eldritch Ballista prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Eldritch Ballistae gain no additional proficiency with weapons, armor, or shields.
Eldritch Blast (Sp): An Eldritch Ballista adds 1d6 to his eldritch blast damage every level. The Eldritch Blast is the equivalent of a spell whose level is one-half the sum of all your Eldritch Blast granting class levels.
Potent Blast: An Eldritch Ballista’s eldritch blast is quite powerful, making it very difficult to avoid being succumbing to its effects. At 1st level an Eldritch Ballista adds a +1 bonus to the Difficulty Class of any saving throws made against his eldritch blast abilities.
Penetrating Blast (Su): An Eldritch Ballista’s eldritch blasts are unbelievably efficient at penetrating magical defenses. At 2nd level an Eldritch Ballista adds a +4 bonus to spellcaster checks to overcome spell resistance with his eldritch blast. This ability stacks with Spell Penetration and Greater Spell Penetration.
Bonus Feat: An Eldritch Ballista gains a bonus feat at 3rd level. An Eldritch Ballista must choose this feat from the following list: Ability Focus (Eldritch Blast), Extra Invocation, Fierce Eldritch Blast*, Greater Spell Penetration, Greater Weapon Focus (Eldritch Blast), Greater Weapon Specialization (Eldritch Blast), Heighten Spell-like Ability (Eldritch Blast), Maximize Spell-like Ability (Eldritch Blast), Quicken Spell-like Ability (Eldritch Blast), Spell Penetration, Weapon Focus (Eldritch Blast), or Weapon Specialization (Eldritch Blast). An Eldritch Ballista must still meet all prerequisites for a bonus feat. This bonus feat is in addition to the feats that a character of any class gets from advancing levels. An Eldritch Ballista is not limited to the list of Eldritch Ballista bonus feats when choosing these feats.
Perfect Eldritch Magic (Su): An Eldritch Ballista soon finds that his ability to modify his eldritch blast is becoming easier and less taxing. At 4th level your eldritch blast’s spell equivalent is considered 2 levels lower for the purpose of Empower Spell-like Ability, Heighten Spell-like Ability, Maximize Spell-like Ability, and Quicken Spell-like Ability.
Dire Blast (Su): Your ability to modify an eldritch blast has reached its pinnacle. At 5th level an Eldritch Ballista can modify your eldritch blast with two essence invocations at once. Using the eldritch blast like this takes a full round action. A Dire Blast's equivalent spell level is calculated as normal for an eldritch blast +2. If both essence invocations grant a saving throw the target makes each separately. If both essences change the energy type of the eldritch blast, then the blast is considered to be half of one energy type and half of the other.

* = New Feats described below.

Where's the formatting thread? Well meh, here's your table:

Eldritch Ballista Class Table:
Lv BaB Fort Ref Will Abilities
1 +0 +0 +0 +2 Eldritch Blast +1d6, Potent Blast
2 +1 +0 +0 +3 Eldritch Blast +1d6, Penetrating Blast
3 +2 +1 +1 +3 Eldritch Blast +1d6, Bonus Feat
4 +3 +1 +1 +4 Eldritch Blast +1d6, Perfect Eldritch Blast
5 +3 +1 +1 +4 Eldritch Blast +1d6, Dire Blast

Wow, ultimate nuker class help, though I guess it gives just about as much as the hellfire warlock, and it doesn't include any odd flavoring. Nicely done. Two essence invocations, eh? Me likes. Not sure how powerfully abusive that could be, but as a DM, I'd allow it. Good job!

That feat already exists, but it has the [Epic] tag attached to it.

Ditto. Already an Epic feat.

Thanks Flay. I appreciate the table. But his BAB is poor, meaning 1/2 level.

Witch, I'm aware. I designed this PrC before those feats were officially put out. None of these abilities are overpowering by themselves.

Oh woops, dunno why I read it as good, lol. My bad, fixed.

But yeah, as capstone abilities, I think they're fine. Epic feats for class features? It sounds alright; depending on what feat it could be underpowering or overpowering, but these seem fine with the eldritch increase. I'm becoming inspired by so many classes to make a warlock as of late. :D

It's alright, since it doesn't stack with itself. : D

The class is pretty cool. It allows the warlock to catch up in terms of damage potential. =) He also trades in his invocations, so this guy never gets dark invocations.

A fair trade, I think. =)
