| starfire31106-12-07, 12:19 PM | One of my players has been asking me for a way to combine Warlock and Warblade. Here is what I have come up with. Let me know what you all think Eldritch Blade Hit Dice: D8 Entry Requirements Alignment: Any evil or Any Chaotic. Skills: Martial Lore 4 Ranks, Concentration 9 Ranks. Martial Maneuvers: Must know at least one 2nd level maneuver. Eldritch Blast: 2D6 Blast Shape: Eldritch Glaive Man. Man. Stances Lvl BAB F R W Known Readied Known Invoker Special 1 +0 +2 +0 +0 1 0 0 ---- Glaive Stance 2 +1 +3 +0 +0 0 0 0 +1 level Weapon aptitude 3 +2 +3 +1 +1 1 1 0 +1 level Improved Glaive 4 +3 +4 +1 +1 0 0 0 +1 level 5 +3 +4 +1 +1 1 0 1 +1 level DR 1/Cold Iron 6 +4 +5 +2 +2 0 1 0 ---- Swift Invocations 7 +5 +5 +2 +2 1 0 0 +1 level 8 +6 +6 +2 +2 0 0 0 +1 level 9 +6 +6 +3 +3 1 1 0 +1 level DR 2/Cold Iron 10 +7 +7 +3 +3 0 0 1 +1 level Dual Stance Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Gains none. Invoker: When it says +1 invoker level, this means you gain new invocations and improved eldritch blast in a previous invoker class as if you had gained one level in it. You do not any other benefits of that class. Maneuvers: At each odd numbered level you gain a new maneuver known from Devoted Spirit, Diamond Mind, Iron Heart, Shadow Hand, or Tiger Claw. You add your full Eldritch blade levels to your initator level to determine your total initiator level. You gain a new readied maneuver at level 3, 6 and 9. Stances Known: At 5th level you gain a new stance from Devoted Spirit, Diamond Mind, Iron Heart, Shadow Hand, or Tiger Claw. Glaive Stance(Su): At 1st level you learn how to channel the energy from one of your stances in a new way. You may spend a swift action while in one of your stances to enter the glaive stance. When you enter this stance you Invoke your eldritch glaive as normal, except it is only a swift action to use the eldritch glaive, and you do not gain attacks for using the invocation. While in the stance you can use your eldritch glaive to make attacks as if it was a weapon, The attacks are in all ways the same as that with the glaive, except you can use your eldritch glaive for any attack you normally could with a weapon. You can stay in this stance for 2+your eldritch blade levels in rounds. When it ends you may spend a swift action to change it to another stance. While in eldritch glaive stance you may not use your eldritch blasts. Weapon Aptitude(Ex): Add your eldritch blade base attack bonus your effective fighter level for determining access to fighter feats. Improved Glaive(Su): In addition to being a reach weapon your glaive also counts as a non-reach weapon for determining the area you threaten. Damage Reduction(Su): At 5th level you gain DR 1/Cold Iron this stacks with any other Cold Iron DR you may have at 9th level this improves to DR 2/cold Iron. Swift Invocations(Su): At 6th level you may expend a readied maneuver to use an invocation, of equal or lower level, as a swift action. Dual Stance(Ex): At 10th level you can choose to not lose your current stance when entering a new stance. You can use this for a 10 rounds per day. |
| Raiden Drake06-12-07, 12:57 PM | I don't understand the Glaive Stance... if I'm reading it correct: It allows you to add your eldrich blast damage to any melee attack you do while in the stance, this obviously include maneuvers. Am i right? Seems like and ok class for a Warlock, Warblade multiclass char. |

Doing a total of 5D6 damage. The intended effect is that you can using eldritch glaive like you could any other weapon for making attacks. The cost is a stance and the loss of eldritch blasts while in the stance. |

| sally_jones06-14-07, 04:28 PM | normal eldritch glaive is a touch attack. does it remain so when used with stance? also, does glaive stance take the place of you current stance? |
