Enlightened Fist question [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-20-07, 09:11 AM Enlightened Fist continues the monk progressions for unarmed damage, unarmored speed, and AC bonuses.

However, if you entered Enlightened Fist from some class that was not Monk, but that class had Monk-like progressions for all three, would it be fair to let the PrC continue those progressions? The class in question is the Battle Dancer from the Dragon Magazine Compendium.

11-20-07, 09:14 AM I would say yes. The reason is Battle Dancer isn't "official" so that WotC materials will never refer to any classes that have all 3 abilities of monks. (Paizo owns dragon compendium, not WotC) Therefore, it is perfectly ok to rule yes if you are working 3rd party materials into the "official" rules

11-20-07, 01:07 PM Actually, WotC does own Dragon Compendium, and it is 100% official. Paizo only had a license to publish it. Note the D&D logo on the cover, too, as opposed to just a d20 logo.

If so, why doesn't RPGA support it..?

11-20-07, 02:19 PM Since when does RPGA support dictate whether or not it's official D&D content? There is plenty of official content that is not supported by the RPGA.

Conversely, Living Greyhawk supported Greyhawk regional feats published in issues #315 and #319 of Dragon Magazine, which was also owned by WotC and licensed by Paizo.
