enlightened spirit [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-13-07, 12:01 AM i am playing a warlock who is presteging into enlightened spirit. it gets more damage w/ eldritch blast as it progresses but the class says nothing about caster levels. i am having major troubles cracking SR currently. does anyone have any insight to my quandary?

06-13-07, 12:57 AM Err... Out of curiosity, where is this class from? I can't recall the name... Knowing what else you already have/will have would be helpful in terms of finding overall good advice to give.

06-13-07, 01:38 AM It's in the Complete Mage yea you don't get any invocations as you progress through the class. It really does look like a bad pick to me.

But your Warlock lvls and your Enlightened lvls will stack for your eldrich blast to break SR since both of them offer that ability.

06-13-07, 04:18 PM my dm is letting me retrain and become an eldritch disciple. my levels are currently warlock 2/ cleric 1/ human paragon 3 w/ paragon adding to cleric. any hints here? sorry about not posting this on character optimization. also im acetic.

06-14-07, 12:23 AM That's a cool class I've always wanted to try it are you good aligned or are you a bad guy? Have you gotten to play it yet? Or did you just finally get it? Details man, I'm mage heavy myself, but I'd like to try this sooner or later.

06-14-07, 03:16 AM Err... I suppose good advice would be to realize that you won't be good at anything for a while - your Warlockery is sorely lacking, and your Clericness isn't too great either. I suppose try to stay out of the way and use youe Eldritch Blast, and pick up something to boost the damage if you can? Honestly, I'm not certain - dual casters tend to be miserably underpowered at right around your level.

well, you get spirit blast, celestial flight, a blast shape, holy blast, transform magic... those are invocations. but granted, it's not like the usual warlock progress.

06-14-07, 02:56 PM my plan is to buff everyone up then step back and pick my shots. healing blast in eldritch disciple was a sweet selling point. any spell suggestions?
