06-11-07, 09:49 AM Would this build, while maybe a bit cheesy (but the class I'm trying to get into requires that so :P ) be legal?

Druid3/Bard1/MT1/Divine oracle 3/Arcane Hierophant2/Sublime chord2/Fochlucan Lyrist 8

Now to explain the cheesy parts:

First of all, I take a level of Mythic theurge at lv5, and Sublime chord at lv10, by using the Improved sigil (krau) feat from races of destiny and with it casting a 2nd level spell (which heighten spell says).

Then, I qualify for the evasion part of the lyrist with 2 levels of divine which gives a evasion like ability (this is not entirely legal I guess, and would require a talk with the GM).

Anything else I'm missing? If this is ok, it would give level 9 "bard" spells, lv9 druids spells, and the bardic music abilities of a 12th level bard, which is nothing to sneeze at.

Anyone got any ideas how to improve on this build?

06-11-07, 11:28 AM Try the CO boards. You'll get much more feedback there. IIRC there's an improved sigil feat that grants evasion and Magic of Incarnum also has feat that does so (impulse boots?). I'm no specialist in Lyrist optimization though.

06-11-07, 07:31 PM It's possible, but you have to take divine oracle before mystic theurge or arcane hierophant, plus you can't take divine oracle before 5th level. In addition, you still have to get evasion if your DM shoots down the divine oracles ability. I'm not certain how playable it would be throughout it's levels. Check out Able Learner from Races of Destiny, and Chaos Music from Dragon Magazine.

06-11-07, 09:18 PM Thematically, I think the Div. Orc's evasion is sufficient to meet the pre-reqs. Are you sure you have enough skill points by the time you get to level 11?

06-11-07, 09:44 PM Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it works: the bard has a 0 level spells at level 1, which the improved sigil (krau) can heighten to 1st level, but a mystic theurge needs 2nd level spells.
