07-06-07, 04:26 PM What would be the optimal base-class combination for going into the Geomancer PrC? I'm thinking something like Cleric/Favored Soul, but I'm open to other ideas.

07-06-07, 04:43 PM If I'm thinking of the correct one (from Complete Divine), it appears intended to be a druidic PrC, although a human with Able Learner can go into it with cleric without difficulty.

On the mage side, Wizard would be the fastest way in, although some kind of armored caster class (Warmage, etc) might be worth missing a level.

If I'm thinking of the wrong class, just ignore this post, I'm away from my books right now.

07-07-07, 02:19 AM Cleric/Favored Soul will not work because those are both divine spellcasting classes.

Several ways off the top of my head:
Wizard 1/Cleric or Druid 3: more versatile.
Sorcerer 1/Favored Soul or Shugenja 4: casting based off of Charisma.
Beguiler or Warmage 1/whatever: wear armor before entering Geomancer.Standard method for early entry into PrCs that require 2nd-level arcane spellcasting is to take Precocious Apprentice at level 1.

Spirit Shaman also works as the divine class but I do not know enough about the class to actually advise for/against it.

07-07-07, 02:36 AM An oft overlooked and potentially nice entrance to the PrC is Duskblade/Cleric. This is probably the most martially oriented Geomancer build there is.

True, but it is no later than Sorcerer/FavoredSoul.

Duskblade/Ur-Priest sounds tasty :)

04-11-08, 12:12 PM How is that a problem? Ur-priest doesn't require spellcasting... Only Iron will and some skills etc. if I recall correctly...

04-11-08, 12:34 PM I think for fluff wise Duskblade/Druid or Spirit shaman would probably be the best; but cleric or favored soul would be good too. Just wish there was a full BaB divine caster with full BaB.
