At the 5th level, this bonus increses by an additional +2 Str and +2 Con. At the 9th level, the Giant Brawler's time amoung the giants has made him stronger and more hardier, but less accustom to normal races. He gains a permenent +2 Str +2 Con and -2 Cha. Rock Throwing: At the 2nd level, the Giant Brawler begins to learn the skills of his giant companions. He is treated as proficent when throwing rocks and gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls when throwing rocks. A medium Giant Brawler can throw 40-50lbs rocks (small objects) up to 30ft. Rock Catching: At the 3rd level, a Giant Brawler can catch rocks (or any similar projectile) his size or smaller. Once per round, a Giant Brawler that would normally be hit by a rock can make a reflex save to catch it as a free action. The DC is 15 for a Small rock, 20 for Medium, and 25 for a large one. If the projectile provides a magic bonus to attack rolls, add it to the DC. The Giant Brawler must me ready for and aware of the attack in order to make a rock catching attempt. Giant's Resistance: In the harsh conditions the giants are accustomed to, the Giant Brawler's body begins to toughen. Giant's Immunity: At the 7th level, the Giant Brawler's resistance grows stronger. The Giant's Resistance now affects him always, and he gains new immunities while raging based on his earlier choices: Fire Giant: Fire immunity Storm Giant: Electricity immunity Frost Giant: Frost immunity Stone Giant: Dr 5/bludgeoning Death Giant: Immunity to Energy Drain effects Giant Rage: At the 8th level, in a display of true power, the Giant Brawler now seems to become larger while raging. His size does not actually increase, but he is treated as one size larger when it is benifical to him. At the 10th level, the Giant Brawler perfects this ability. He gains the Giant type and increases size by one permenently. He gains all stat bonuses dealing with size increase. Small creatures become medium, medium to large, and large to huge. All of his abilities dependent on size scale up, And he still is concidered once size larger when benifical to him while raging. Spur of the moment class. Probably unbalanced in certian areas, any help greatly appriciated. |
| captianhowdy06-06-07, 02:01 PM | Bump'd |
| Kevin Andrew Murphy06-06-07, 02:42 PM | When he gains the size bump at 10th level, does he get a stat bump from going up a size class, and if so, which one is it? The one from M to L? What if gnomes, halflings or other Small size characters take this class? Overall it seems fairly well thought out, but skips over what happens if the character taking it hangs with Hill Giants, Cloud Giants or Storm Giants. |
| captianhowdy06-06-07, 09:24 PM | Yeah, the problem with the other giants was, well, plainly, i couldnt fine enough flavor for them. Little to no SLA or SQ to add. I intend to revamp it eventually though, adding some more giants |
| Cyrocloud06-07-07, 09:18 PM | looks good but death giant seems to be more usefull than the other giant on the whole. |
| captianhowdy06-08-07, 11:12 AM | Yeah i thought it might... What might be a fix for that? |
| asteroth1606-17-07, 01:54 PM | how about adding giant's toughness from masters of the wild as a class feature |
| asteroth1606-17-07, 01:57 PM | also a question, for the 8th level ability say it is an 8th level goliath giant brawler would the powerful build ability stack with it? |
