tuberov 12-06-07, 11:11 PM	Hey, I'm looking for a good prestige class for a vampire bloodlined character (if you couldn't tell from the title). What I'm looking for is something that will allow him to progress decently as a melee fighter (at least decent in the hit point department) while getting full caster level (or at least close). The closest thing that I have found so far is the Abjurant Champion but it really doesn't help out the character. He uses spells to supplement his fighting (kind of like a duskblade but without the channeling). He'll be using a bloodstone weapon (from Magic Item Compendium) so I need to at least get him to cast 3rd levels spells (for Vampric Touch) but would like to progress him farther to get more caster levels for said spell. Any suggestions?
StevenO 12-06-07, 11:25 PM	If the Abjurant Champ doesn't work for your idea of a Gish prestige class you are basically out of luck. You may need an Abjuration to get in but if a d10 HD, full BAB and casting for five levels (with the prereq that is 6th level casting) I don't think there is a class that meets your desires. There are the typical stand by choices of Eldritch Knight and Spellsword (1/2 caster). If you are just looking for supplementary magic Suel Arcanamach (CAr) but that's only 3/4 BAB with its own limits spell progression. As for increasing Caster Level there is always the Practiced Spellcaster feat which can get you +4 caster levels you may otherwise not have.
