Does anyone know a good PrC for a character that makes golems and what not? I thought about Effigy master, but not really sure what it's all about. Lemme know if there's any other winners, or maybe just a good class to get Craft Construct to work well with.

The only construct specialist I can even think of at the moment IS Effigy Master...

Though I'm probably forgetting something else.

I think there is one for astral constructs in complete psionics.

There will be plenty of homebrew stuff floating around the boards, but Effigy Master is really the only PrC I can think of that WotC has given.

I guess something with bonus feats could also work. Magical artisan (iirc - the one that reduces the cost of crafting by 25%) is almost a must, and there might be something that allows you to place spells more easily...

BTW, is there a problem with putting a permanent symbol spell on a construct, to work on all who see it?

Prestige classes, not so much. Base classes, on the other hand, absolutely. Is there any possible way to gain access to Artificer? (Frankly you can go straight Art20 and be an unbelievable construct creator, also known as a 'golemficer.')

Hmm, that reminds me - a walker of the waste can make a few things here and there. However, afaik there has been no errata describing the details about cost, creation, control etc. Still, you might want to check that if your character is a divinist.

The Maester from complete adventurer might be what you want. It gets a quick crafting ability that reduces the time to make magic items as well as two bonus item creation feats. Lose a caster lvl though. Its has 4 skill points a lvl too.
