| ThallosBelmont04-24-07, 08:07 PM | I heard about the griffon rider class and would like to know where it is located? can anyne help me out here? |
| The_Shaman04-24-07, 08:47 PM | The Unapproachable East (FR supplement) has the Aglarondian Griffonrider, but there might be other classes as well. I'm quite sure the Skylord (BoED), Zhentarim Skymage (Lords of Darkness), and at least one other PrC (the moonknight from City of Splendors) can let you have a griffon mount. |
| AbyssKnight04-25-07, 12:25 AM | Don't forget Great Rift Skyguard from Races of Faerun. (Well okay, it is a hippogriff, but its pretty close.) |
| Fireclave04-25-07, 12:34 AM | It probably wouldn't be too much of a stretch to convert the Dragon Rider Prc (Draconomicon) into a Griffon Rider. |
| ThallosBelmont04-25-07, 05:58 PM | well i would like to stick with the griffonrider class that the first guy said, so i need to go out and find that book. and anotherthing, i want to ride a medium griffon, any help there guys? |
| The_Shaman04-25-07, 06:40 PM | Well, there's no problem riding a mount 2 categories bigger than you... Other than that, I'd start by applying the typical adjustments for creatures 1 category smaller - -2 str, +2 dex. Normally it might include slightly less NA and HD, but I'm not sure if it works out here. |
| ThallosBelmont04-25-07, 06:57 PM | i know there is no problem riding around on a large one when i am small, but i would hate to be flying around on a large one, i think that woul annoy the other players to much, let alone be flying around all ready. |
| The_Shaman04-25-07, 07:01 PM | Well, sorry, but when that halfling's flying for Queen and Country, some sacrifices have to be made :D Alternatively, just treat it as perma-reduced. I doubt anyone would mind, if anything you're gimping the little thing. |
