tygreen101 10-15-07, 04:11 PM	Miniature's handbook page 20 has a PrC Havoc Mage. the "Battlecast" class ability says "A havoc mage gains the ability to cast spells of a certain level or lower while making a weapon attack. He may take a full round action to attack and cast a spell." do you feel this allows me to make ONE melee attack and cast a spell in the same round or does it allow me to make ALL my melee attacks AND cast a spell. now the paragraph does continue to say that the spell must have a casting time of 1 standard action or less. and it also says "When using his battlecast ability, a havoc mage may cast spells requiring somatic components even if he has no free hands. Using battlecast does not provoke an attack of oppurtunity." because of everything it does, I can see arguments for only allowing 1 attack with 1 hand, but if I allow ALL attacks, because of the line about "no free hands" it opens up allowing full TWF AND casting a spell in the same round. What are your thoughts?
Marcus Majarra 10-15-07, 10:26 PM	The ability only allows for a single attack. It's not because you take a full-round action that involves an attack that you're automatically entitled to a full attack's worth of attacks.
