| Jprostovich12-27-07, 10:30 PM | My campaign world I am creating requires a prestige class specifically for Halflings. I am not very good with mechanics so I thought I would ask for your collective help. Here is the short background: Halflings used to have the natural ability to shapeshift (like a druid's wildshape). Due to a rift with their deity the halflings have lost this ability. However it is possible to regain this ability (and perhaps others) if the halfling meets the prescribed prerequisites. What I need help with is making this prestige class good...making it attractive to players. As now all I have it offering is wildshape. I need someone with more skill in this area to help out. What I have set in stone is very little. The wildshape ability is a must, but I would also like the class to retain any spellcasting abilities of their previous class, as well as say, sneak attack if the halfling chooses the life of a rogue. Could anyone out there create a prestige class for me (and my version of the halfling) that would be different than just multiclassing as a druid? Your help is most appreciated...thanks in advance |

The spellcaster version could have d4 or d6 HD, 1/2 BAB, goor Will saves, and full (or 9/10ths) spellcassting progression. The warrior/sneak version could have d8 HD, 3/4 or even 1/1 BAB and good Reflex saves. All other aspects of both classes could be the same. It depends what you want this class to do. Nothing but shapeshifting? Shapeshifting + mystical abilities? + warrior abilities? + sneaky abilities? This will help determine the prereq's, and whether it's a 5-level or 10-level PrC. Take a look at the shapeshifter druid variant in PHB2, and the warshaper in CWar (IIRC) for some shapeshifty ideas. I'll be glad to help, but I need more precise guidelines. |
