Only problem is that Dragonmark Heirs don't get profession (sailor) as a class skill. I can't find an errata or anything to back this up. I am just curious if this an printing error, or something to ask my DM for as a favor. Anyone have any info on this? |

However you'll have to pay cross class cost if you are buying ranks in a skill that is not a class skill for the class you are using. In your example, the Bard 4/Dragonmark heir 3/Windwright Captain could buy profession ranks as a dragonmarked heir up to 3 + character level because it is a class skill for one of his classes. Since Profession is not a skill, though, for dragonmarked heir, the cost will be cross class (2 points for 1 rank). This would allow him to meet the prerequisites for windwright of profession (sailor) 10 ranks by character level 7. |
