Hi all, Here is a prestige class I have been toying with, each based on Rary’s telepathic bond (a far more useful spell than haste in my opinion). Bonded Base Attack Bonus: +3 Skills: Diplomacy 8, Listen 8, Feats: Improved Initiative, Special: Must have a Rary’s telepathic bond permanently cast upon you. HD: d8 Bab: good Saves good Ref & Will, poor Fort. Class Features: Each of the class features requires an existing telepathic bond with another person who is nearby. If the bond is disspelled all class benefits are lost until the spell is cast again. Only during the duration of the spell (be it permanent or otherwise) can the benefits of the spell be gained. Weapon & Armour Proficiency: You gain proficiency with any weapon that someone you are bonded to, aka bond-mate, is currently wielding. Provided that your bond-mate is within 30ft. You do not gain any special prowess with the weapon that your bond-mate has from this ability. Merely proficiency in its use, no armour proficiency is gained from this class. Level 1: Synergized Senses (Su): You gain a +1 bonus to initiative and a +2 bonus to listen, search and spot checks when someone you are telepathically bonded to is within 30ft. Empathic Link (Su): As the familiar ability, except you gain it with anyone you have a telepathic bond within 30ft. Level 2: Synergized Combat (Su): When you and someone you are bonded with are within 10ft of each other, you gain, a +1 bonus to melee attack rolls. At level 4 this bonus rises to +2. Synergized Flanking (Su): When you and someone you are bonded with are flanking the same foe you gain double the normal benefit (+2 goes to +4) in addition to the bonus granted by Synergized Combat. Level 3: Synergized will saves (Su): As long as someone you are bonded with is within 30ft you gain a +2 bonus on your will saves. Level 4: Synergized Skills (Su): As long as someone you are bonded with is within 30ft of you, you gain a +2 competence bonus on any skills you both have at least 2 ranks in. Level 5: Synergized Feats (Su): Whenever someone you are bonded to is within 30ft you can use any feat they have, as though you had it as well, so long as you meet the prerequisites for it. You may only gain one feat in this way and lose it whenever your bonded partner leaves the 30ft range. The initial use of this ability is a swift action; once the feat is “copied” it costs no actions to maintain. The feat can be “uncopied” as a free action and then this ability could be used again as a swift action to acquire that feat, or a different one from a bond-mate within 30ft.
