| PrinceCurtis12-05-06, 08:20 PM | I'm currently working on the soulfortress although it might be a while coming. I working on other classes and there's a race i made connected to it so yea... But i'm be glade to help. I could repost the presige class I made for Moonsprite's Overdrive Master that uses Incarnum |
| Tralan12-05-06, 10:31 PM | I've been toying with an offshoot of one of the magic/incarnum PrC's and instead altering it to be Psionic. Some of the psionic incarnum feats are amazing and a combo class would utilize them very well. I've also been working on a Bard-type incarnum class. Instead of being alingment based, it's more of a knowlege wh**e. |
| sumowrestler12-07-06, 02:50 PM | I saw an idea in the Psionic thread but don't remember who posted it. Basically the idea was to create a Psionic base class by the character merge with a soul. The idea sounded too much like Incarnum to me. However, it could be an interesting PrC when you meld a specific soul permanently to you but for game balance you would give up any other soulmelds. You can still have soulmelds but only related to that particular soul that you permanently bonded with. This will take quite a bit of work between the player and DM unless there is a table created by the DM for the player to choose from that has the souls and soulmelds. Here is the thread that I mention about using psionics instead of Incarnum http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=739585 |
| alchemyprime01-05-07, 06:43 PM | Hm... First order of business: A basic eight. A basic list of eight pretige classes. Here's what I have ideas for. Incarnum/Warlock Prc. (Fiendish Soul) Dragonmark Based Incarnum class (Soul Heir) Incarnum Killer (Anti-incarnum) Incarnum/psionics Incarnum/divine WITHOUT BEING LAWFUL! Chaos incarnates need love too. Totemist/druid combo. Another race PrC. Something to make Vivicarnum without it being "Good Necrocarnum". That's a bunch of travaal if I've ever seen it. A healing/defense incarnum PrC. |
| DracoPhoenix01-06-07, 11:08 AM | How about mixing the Incarnum blade mechanisims and soulknife abilities as a 10L PrC? Incarnum charged mindblade :) |
| Thomar_of_Uointer01-06-07, 01:09 PM | How about mixing the Incarnum blade mechanisims and soulknife abilities as a 10L PrC? Incarnum charged mindblade :) No, you'd make Psycarnum Blade a prerequisite for the prestiege class. That opens up all sorts of fun extra abilities, like treating your mindblade as a soulmeld and not having to lock up essentia for 24 hours on the feat. Oh, great, now I actually want to stat this up... Soulblade (Su): The (Psycarnum Blade) can shape his mindblade as a soulmeld on his hands chakra. Doing so allows him to maintain its presence without psionic focus, but he must make a DC 20 Concentration check each time he attacks with it without having psionic focus (including any attacks that expend psionic focus) or else it dissipates after the attack. |

Only problem is, you don't need to be focused to create a mindblade, and a DC20 check every attack to avoid losing the blade is a lot worse than a DC 20 check to regain focus as a move action (from Psi-Meditation). I was thinking more of the chakra binding mechanisim to power up a mindblade like device. I like the idea behind Incarnum blade PrC, but felt the abilities granted didn't really offer a great deal for what is a 5 level PrC. That said, maybe I'm thinking more on the lines of "overhaul IB" and because the Soulknife lends itself to incarnum so well, I was thinking 2 birds with one stone. |

Well, I've never played one, and nobody I know has ever played one. :P Okay, maybe the hands soulmeld could let the soulknife use his Constitution score in place of its hardness and hit points, and binding it to the chakra would let him add invested essentia to its enhancement bonus. |
| copperwood02-10-07, 09:29 AM | Essentiate Prerequites Soulmelds: Ability to shape 4 soulmelds Essentia pool: 5 essentia points Feats: Expanded Soulmeld Capacity Hit dice: D8 Lvl BAB Fort/Ref/Will Class Abilities Meldshaping 1 +0 +2/+0/+2 Energize soulmeld (+1) 1/day 2 +1 +3/+0/+3 Essentia burn +1 meldshaper level 3 +2 +3/+1/+3 +1 meldshaper level 4 +3 +4/+1/+4 Energize soulmeld (+2) 2/day +1 meldshaper level 5 +3 +4/+1/+4 Chakra tier (arms, brows) 6 +4 +5/+2/+5 +1 meldshaper level 7 +5 +5/+2/+5 Chakra tier (shoulders) +1 meldshaper level 8 +6 +6/+2/+6 Energize soulmeld (+3) 3/day +1 meldshaper level 9 +6 +6/+3/+6 Chakra tier (throat) 10 +7 +7/+3/+7 Energize soulmeld (2 melds) +1 meldshaper level Weapon and armour proficiency Essentiates gain no new proficiencies with weapons or armour. Meldshaper level At every level except 1st, 5th, and 9th the essentiate increases his meldshaper level (soulmelds, essentia, and chakra binds) as though he had gained a level in a previous meldshaping class. He does not gain any other benefits of that class such as new tiers of chakras. Chakra tiers At 5th level the essentiate gains access to his arms and brows chakra, and at 9th level he gains access to his throat chakra. Energize soulmeld Once per day as a swift action the essentiate may energize a chosen soulmeld, increasing its capacity by 1 point and gaining extra essentia points equal to half his essentiate class level rounded down (minimum of 1 round). These extra essentia points may immediately be invested as normal, including into the the newly energized soulmeld. This effect lasts for up to 3 rounds plus 1 round per Constitution modifier (minimum 1 round). The essentiate may end the effect at any time. Once the effect ends the extra essentia points are lost and the essentiate becomes fatigued for the duration of the current encounter. At 4rd level the capacity of the energized soulmeld increases by 2 points and this ability may be used twice per day. At 8th level the capacity of the energized soulmeld increases by 3 points and this ability may be used three times per day. At 10th level the essentiate may energize two soulmelds when activating this ability, increasing the capacity of both of them by 3 points. Essentia burn The essentiate may gain extra essentia points by burning his very life energy. He may gain up to 1 essentia point per 3 class levels (1 at levels 1-3, 2 at levels 4-6, and so on), but takes 1d8 points of damage per essentia point gained. These extra essentia points may be invested immediately and last for 1 full round. Activating this ability is a swift action. Design notes: First, I'll apologize for dodgy formatting, especially in the class table. I haven't yet figure out how to get these things looking right! Second, I'll apologize for lack of fluff. I haven't got around to that (writer's block!). This is just a simple class, designed mainly for an incarnate who wants a bit more combat power. Thus the d8 hit dice, and slightly improved BAB. This class lags behind in actual meldshaper levels, but gains the ability to boost their essentia to much greater levels than an equivalent incarnate, at a cost. The inspiration behind this was mainly the psionic wilder. Just to compare, a 15th lvl (human) incarnate has 7 soulmelds and 16 essentia, while a 5th lvl incarnare/10th lvl essentiat will only have 6 soulmelds and 12 essentia but is capable of boosting his essentia to 17 by energizing (which also increases the capacity of two 'melds) and in subsequent rounds can temporarily bump this up anywhere from 18 to 21 points in subsequent rounds (by taking 1d8 to 4d8 damage!). Other ideas I had also thought about a totemist prestige class focussed on aberrations. I know loads of people have played around with this too but I was thinking along the lines of a 'corrupted totemist'. If anyone is interested I might expand on this idea :) Also, how about a base class based around Outsiders. Again, this would be superficially similar to the totemist but I don't see this class as being 'tribal' or 'shaman'-like. Such as class - whatever I name it - would consider Outsiders as being the epitome of existence. Like the incarnate they would need to pick an alignment component (Law, Chaos, Good, or Evil). All their soulmelds could be based around different Outsiders (Fists of the Goristro, Avoral mantle, and so on). This would take quite some time to come up with... |
| alchemyprime02-10-07, 12:58 PM | Your prestige class, it is as if you took my favorite psionic prestige class, the Metamind, and made him incarnum. Its... its... beautiful. Tearing up a little. Give me a minute... Okay, as for corrupted totemist, look on the classes or main board for the guide, where I wrote down a feat idea. Make that feat a pre-req, and give him bonus for using those soulmelds, but at the cost of losing his normal benefits for his magical beast soulemelds with the totem chakra. As for an outsider base class... Let's make instead a few Outsider based Essences. And make a class that gets them. So you could make an Outsider based class, but you could mix it up a bit too. I new prestige class idea, based off of your base class idea: The Extraplanar Incarnate Pre-Reqs: Skills: Knowledge (The Planes) 13 ranks Essentia Pool: 9 Abilities: Ability to bind soulmelds to the shoulders chakra Special: Must have had peaceful contact with an outsider of your alignment. HD: d8 BAB: Medium Saves: Fort & Will Skills: Incarnate's list, plus extras for each alignment. Skill Points: 2 + Int 1. Outsider Patron 2. Outsider's Luck 3. Outisider's Soul 4. Outsider's Body, Chakra Bind (Throat, Waist) 5. Outsider's Life, CHakra Bind (Heart) Meldshaping: Every level but first. Outsider Patron: You choose an Outsider with an alignment the same as your own. You gain a +1 to your meldshaper level when using that specific soulmeld of your patron (we'll give examples) Outsider's Luck: You gain a +1 luck bonus on all saving throws when a soulmelds with an alignment descriptor is shaped. (If neutral, use a patron's soulmeld) Outsider's Soul: All soulmelds with an alignment descriptor have their essentia capacities increased by one (if you are neutral, use your patron's soulmelds.) Outsider's Body: You gain a +2 natural armour, a +2 to Constitution, and Resistance to energy 5 based on alignment (stacks with soulmelds) Outsider's Life: You become an Outsider with your alignment subtypes. You are considered a naitve to your native plane, plus any planes with your alignment. Your essentia pool is increased by one. Just off the top of my head. |
| copperwood02-11-07, 10:58 AM | I'm working on my corrupted totemist. Stay tuned :D |
| copperwood02-11-07, 04:14 PM | And completely unrelated to my previous post, I just had an idea! How about a prestige class based around chakras and magical items. After all, chakras do correspond to magic item slots. I was thinking about a class that could gradually gain 'enhanced chakras', allowing them to improve any soulmelds bound to them, as well as somehow improve normal magic items worn on those chakras. Or something. |
| alchemyprime02-13-07, 07:32 PM | Hm... Something good. Gives normal PCs, especially fighters and rogues, a reason to pick up some incarnum goodness. Chakra Adept Pre-Reqs: Skills: Use Magic Device 11 ranks Special: Must be able to shape at least one soulmeld, be able to bind soulmelds to the crown chakra, and own at least three magic items that can be bound to a chakra (ioun stones, rings and expendable items don't count.) I guess it would be BAB: Medium HD: d6 or d8 Saves: Fort and/or Will. Skill Points: 4 + or better Skills: A very artificer-y list Abs: Maybe... 1. Bind item: choose a special ability off of a list for each magic item you own. You may bind that item to a chakra to gain that ability even if the chakra already has a soulmeld bond to it. You may only bind one magic or psionic item for every odd numbered level in this class in this fashion. 2. Chakras (Hands, Feet) 3. Essentia Items: You may count items as soulmelds for essentia usage. Improves bind abilities. 4. Chakras (Brow, Shoulders, Arms) 5. Rapid Re-Bind: As a swift action, you may unbind one soulmeld to bind another to a different chakra. 6. Chakras (Throat, Waist) 7. Something item-y 8. Chakras (Heart) 9. Extra Chakra Bind: You gain one additional chakra bind. 10. Chakra (Soul) Give it full meldshaping, except for first and tenth level. That might work... Someone work on this. Also, we need three people (or I'd like three) to work on soulmelds. So far, I've only been able to work on 2. (School is keeping me down) |

| Donald_Cannith02-15-07, 09:21 PM | Hmm something i was thinking about was perhaps making an incarnum prestige tha builds off of skirmish. There are soem fun things you can do with the mobility melds that relate to scout. Flavorwise totemist soudns good but IIRC the good mobility melds belong to the incarnate. |
| benstundze02-15-07, 11:32 PM | we need an incarnum healer bace class(i know i know of topic) and maybe a PrC that creates shield(spell like things that live on hp and has % to do stuff) and see's aura's. just me ben |
| copperwood02-17-07, 12:18 PM | I stole the name Chakra Adept from you Alchemyprime. Hope you don't mind! The prestige class I created for it is here. (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=11515877#post11515877) |

If anyone has seen the Avatar episode "The Guru", you might have an idea of the kind of abilities I'm thinking of... |

Go to my sig, look at the last spoiler block and go to the main thread. Then use the class thread. I do like a defensive PrC. Nice for Good incarnates. |
| LordArchaon04-22-07, 10:05 PM | Hello again! I updated the draft of my SOUL KNIGHT (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=827020) PrC, but it needs some help and feedback! Now you can easily read its peculiarities, pros and cons in the last post of the thread in which I truly analyze the PrC. P.E.A.C.[H.] !!! Only Incarnum users and fans can evaluate the class correctly and believe me, when finished it will look awesome! |
| alchemyprime05-23-07, 08:15 PM | Heres what we're using, I know we need to: Chakra Adept, by copperwood Corrupted Totemist, by copperwood Essentiate, by copperwood (who I'm saying is a great PrC maker.) Exalted Soul (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=12533276#post12533276) by Calronmoonflower Extraplanr Incarnate, by me (I'll polish it.) Gifted Soul (the warlock/incarnate or totemist prc), by me Soul Knight, by LordArachon Dang, seven already. Maybe a goal of ten isn't unrealistic. The Incarnum Guide should be "Complete Incarnum" before we get a Complete Incarnum. |
| Thrincold05-24-07, 08:51 AM | Off topic slightly, but has anyone considered reworking the soulknife to be an incarnate class instead of psionic? I mean the basics are there, and the weapon prc (I forget the name) from MoI is already there. |
| DracoPhoenix05-24-07, 10:04 AM | Off topic slightly, but has anyone considered reworking the soulknife to be an incarnate class instead of psionic? I mean the basics are there, and the weapon prc (I forget the name) from MoI is already there. It's been considered, I know I've posted an idea on it before. But I haven't put anything to paper. Don't know about the others though. |
| alchemyprime05-24-07, 05:17 PM | Thought of it, would be very glad if you made one. But prestige-classy, not core classy. We already have six of those being made. Also, I finished the gifted soul. Keep in mind, we're getting FOUR new Full Meldshapers. The Gifted Soul Some have the fearful ability to shape the souls of others into powerful items. Others can use the arcane power lacing their soul to unleash fury upon their enemies and the innocent. But the most fearsome are those who learn to use the arcane might of their own soul with power of other souls. Adventures: Gifted souls adventure for one reason: power. Power to help, power to harm, or just power for the sake of power, it varies with the individual. Characteristics: The gifted soul can use not only soulmelds, but also powerful invocations. With this, a gifted soul can cause as much havoc or bring about as much justice or destruction as they wish. Good gifted souls are some of the greatest weapons of the forces of good, such as the eladrin and good dragons. Evil gifted souls are some of the most amazing and frightening creatures alive. Religion: Most gifted souls follow deities of death, destruction, and evil. Some, however, follow deities of good, protection, thieves and chaos. Background: Most gifted souls have made a pact with a demon, perhaps wanting to join the Blood War. Others were totemists that ventured to far into a fey spring. And yet others just happened to be very talented individuals. Races: Humans and tieflings are most likely to take this prestige class. Rilkans, dusklings and skarn sometimes will take it as well, as well as azurins. Nearly all of the possible candidates for gifted souls are warlock/incarnates. The occasional warlock/totemist or warlock/soulborn does appear. Also, some warlock/soulthiefs have popped up, but most treasure their soul stealing abilities too much to take this class. Hit Die: d6 Requirements To qualify to become a gifted soul the character must meet the following requirements. Skills: Spellcraft, 8 Ranks Knowledge (Arcana), 8 ranks Concentration, 2 ranks Spell Casting: Lesser invocations, and must know Drain Incarnum. Meldshaping: Meldshaper level 5th Special: Eldritch Blast +3d6 Class Skills The gifted soul class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are; Bluff (Cha), Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Disguise (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Knowledge (arcana) (Int), Knowledge (the planes) (Int), Profession (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), Use Magic Device (Cha) See Chapter 4 in the Core Rulebook 1 for skill descriptions. Skill Points at each additional Level: 4 + Int modifier Class Features [In this section explain all the special features of your class.] All of the following are class features of the gifted soul Weapon and Armour Proficiency: A gifted soul gains no proficiency in any weapons or armour. Invocations: A gifted soul still gains invocations as his previous class, except at 1st and 6th level. Meldshaping: At each gifted soul Level except 2nd and 7th, you increase your meldshaper level, the number of soulmelds you can shape, the number of chakra binds you can create, and your essentia pool as if you had gained a level in a meldshaper to which you belonged prior to gaining the gifted soul level. You do not, however, gain any other abilities of that class, such as new tiers of chakra binds. If you had more than one meldshaping class before becoming a gifted soul, you must decide to which to ass each level for the purpose of determining your essentia pool, meldshaper level, and the number of soulmelds and chakra binds available. Azure Energy Resistance (Su): A gifted soul can invest essentia into this class feature as if it were a soulmeld. When he gains this class feature, he chooses one of the following kinds of energy: fire, cold, electricity, sonic or acid. He gains resistance to the energy equal to (4 times the number of points of essentia he invests into it.) He also gains a special ability based on what kind of energy he chooses: Fire: Whenever the gifted soul deals damage through a soulmeld, spell or spell-like ability, add two points of fire damage to the damage dealt. Also, you gain a +2 bonus on Bluff checks for each point of essentia invested. Cold: You also gain Damage Reduction 1/piercing. This goes up by one for each point of essentia you have invested into this ability. You also gain a +2 bonus on Concentration checks for each point of essentia invested. Electricity: Your base land speed goes up by 5 feet, plus 5 for each point of essentia invested. Also, you gain a +2 bonus on Spellcraft checks for each point of essentia invested. Sonic: You can cast detect magic at will. If you already had this ability, raise your caster level by your gifted soul level, to a maximum of your character level. You gain a +2 bonus on Will saves, plus 1 for each point of essentia invested. You also gain a +2 bonus on Perform and Diplomacy checks for each point of essentia invested. Acid: You can breath underwater as long as you have at least one point of essentia invested in this ability. You also gain a +2 bonus on Swim checks for each point of essentia invested, and can take 10 on Swim checks. At 4th, 7th and 10th level, you can choose an extra energy. Each Azure energy resistance is a separate ability, and so you must invest essentia into each energy resistance separately. Transcendence I: The gifted soul’s eyes are now permanently blue. His essentia pool is forever more increased by one. He also gains a +1 bonus to attack rolls with his invocations and spells to determine a critical hit. Damage Reduction: A gifted soul gains a small amount of damage reduction that is always active. He gets to choose if this is over adamantite, cold iron, silver or magic. Once he has chosen, he can not change it later. He gets DR 1 at 3rd level, and it goes up every three levels after that. Transcendence II: The gifted soul feels as if his soul has been strengthened. His eyes now glow in the dark. He gains a +2 bonus to Constitution. He may also channel an invocation or eldritch blast with a touch attack instead of a ranged touch attack. He may use this in conjunction with a soulmeld. Chakra Binds: As you raise in level, you gain access to more chakras. At 5th level, you may use the arms, brow and shoulders chakras. At 10th level, you may use the throat and waist chakras. Remember that binding a soulmeld to a chakra cuts off that body slot from being able to use a magic item. Transcendence III: A gifted soul’s skin turns to a faint blue colour. Though most would find this unnerving, it actually makes him more attractive in the right light. The gifted soul gains a +2 bonus to charisma checks and charisma-based skill checks. He gains a further +4 bonus to Intimidate and Diplomacy checks when in shadows. Transcendence IV: The gifted soul begins to realize his power as of this point. His hair seems to move, even when there is no wind. He gains a +2 bonus to Charisma, as well as spell resistance 10 plus his Wisdom modifier. This spell resistance stacks with that granted by a soulmeld. Transcendence V: A gifted soul of this level finally gains what most would call “true power”. He now longer gains the ill effects of aging. His creature type becomes “Outsider” and he gains a flight speed of 30 feet (good). His appearance changes with accordance to his alignment: Chaotic Good: If they are not already, the ears of a chaotic good gifted soul become pointed like an elf’s. The gifted soul becomes thinner, giving a +2 to Dexterity. Their physique become much more accented, making them look more like how most people wish people looked. They gain a +2 bonus to Charisma based skill checks that stacks with transcendence III. Chaotic Neutral: A gifted soul of this alignment becomes larger, bumpier, and somewhat slimy. He gains a claw attack (1d6) as a natural weapon. He also gains a +5 feet to his base land speed, and his damage reduction is altered so it now takes a lawful weapon of the metal or substance to harm him fully. Lawful Evil: A lawful evil gifted soul gains a +2 to Constitution and can summon a glaive made of fire at will. It deals 2d6 points of fire damage instead of the normal damage of a glaive, and he is instantly proficient in it use, but otherwise follows the statistics for a glaive. Neutral Evil: A neutral evil gifted soul gains a hard, insect like shell. He gains a +2 to natural amour, and a +2 to dexterity. His weapons are now treated as evil for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction. Chaotic Evil: A chaotic evil gifted soul gains two horns, and a +2 bonus to Charisma. He also can coat himself in one energy (cold, fire or acid) for up to his character level plus his Charisma modifier in rounds per day. These rounds need not be consecutive. When coated, he deals 2d6 points of the energies damage to all he hits in melee and all who hit him with a melee weapon, but he will take 1 point of damage for each round he uses it. Energy resistance will not stop this point of damage. Should a gifted soul change alignment, his transendence V ability will change as well. However, he will take 1d6 points of Constitution damage. 1 point of this damage will not heal until he changes back to his old alignment or a month passes, whichever comes first. Table The Gifted Soul Level Base Attack Bonus Fort Save Ref Save Will Save Special Spells Per Level 1 +0 +2 +0 +2 Azure energy resistance (one type) +1 Level of Existing meldshaping class 2 +1 +3 +0 +3 Transcendence I +1 level of existing invoking class 3 +2 +3 +1 +3 Damage reduction 1 +1 level of existing meldshaping class/+1 level of existing invoking class 4 +3 +4 +1 +4 Azure energy resistance (two types), transcendence II +1 level of existing meldshaping class/+1 level of existing invoking class 5 +3 +4 +1 +4 Chakra binds (arms, brow, shoulders) +1 level of existing meldshaping class/+1 level of existing invoking class 6 +4 +5 +2 +5 Damage reduction 2, transcendence III +1 Level of Existing meldshaping class 7 +5 +5 +2 +5 Azure energy resistance (three types) +1 level of existing invoking class 8 +6 +6 +2 +6 Transcendence IV +1 level of existing meldshaping class/+1 level of existing invoking class 9 +6 +6 +3 +6 Damage reduction 3 +1 level of existing meldshaping class/+1 level of existing invoking class 10 +7 +7 +3 +7 Azure energy resistance (four types), Chakra binds (throat, waist), transcendence V +1 level of existing meldshaping class/+1 level of existing invoking class |

Keep in mind, we're getting FOUR new Full Meldshapers. Ok, I've got a rough plan in place, it's a mess as I tried to go in 3 different directions at once. I'll clean it up and work on it a bit more. Hopefully I should have something in a day or two. Just so you know, it's currently a 10 level PrC, focused round using essentia to augment the mindblade. I also need a good L10 ability. |
| DracoPhoenix06-07-07, 05:29 PM | ok, got this so far. It's very messy, and possibly got a few dead bits in it. But just to give you an idea on what I'm going for. Let me know what you think. Incarnum Soulblade Prestige class: Incarnum Knight Pre-requisits: Mindstrike, Access to & the ability to bind at least one chakra. Incarnum Soulblade levels stack with Soulknife levels for purposes of psychic strike & enchantment value. This does not apply to other Soulknife abilities. Gain Essentia, Meld, Chakra Bind limits as per original class. No other special abilities (note: you do not gain additional chakras from previous classes, only a limit on the number you can bind to). 3/4 Bab, +1 Fort, +1 Ref, +2 Will, d8 hp, +3/4 essentia progression. Skills (4+Int) : Concentration, spellcraft, move silently, hide, Autohypnosis, Knowledge (Psionics, Arcana), Spot, Listen, Jump, Climb, Tumble. Incarnum Knight Meld Progression: L1 crown L2 feet L3 hands L4 arms L5 throat L6 brow L7 shoulders L8 waist L9 heart L10 soul (Armour) Kinght's Soul (Passive) Selection of combat mind melds (sorry for the pun). These melds (and only these melds), can be sustained in a AM field (DC 20 + N (1/SW meld) conc check). You also gain your Kight's Soul class level to saves vs dispell attempts affecting your Knight's Soul melds. This bonus only applies for your Knight's Soul melds. Crown : Improved Shape Blade: You can shape your mind blade into any simple or martial melee or martial melee weapon. In addition, you can also form Hand weapons. If the weapon is a one handed light weapon, you may form 2 instances of the weapon - as per the normal shape mindblade dual shortswords. Feet : As long as you are psionically focused, you gain a movement bonus equal to 10ft per point of essentia invested in this meld. In addition you gain a dodge bonus equal to the amount of essentia in this meld. Hands : Elemental Strike. When you invest essentia into this ability, your first melee attack of the round gains 1+Ed6 elemental damage. The elemental damage type is set for the following 24hrs and is set one the first attempt to use it after this period has elapsed. This meld effect applies to your natural weapons, your mindblade or any other melee weapon you wield. Arms : Mind Shield. You can form a transparent shield in your off hand. You automatically gain proficency for your mind shield, but you do not gain any proficency with normal shields. The shield has the same hardness and hp as your mindblade. The mind shield gains an AC equal to 1+E (E=the amount of essentia invested in it). If you don't invest any essentia in this meld, it is treated as a buckler. If you invest 1 point of essentia in this meld, it is treated as a light shield. If you invest 2 point of essentia in this meld, it is treated as a heavy shield. If you invest 3 or more points of essentia in this meld, it becomes a tower shield. Brow : Pick two of the following abilities : +detect{ magic, psi, undead, oposing alignment(s)}, darkvision ability to 20Eft range (pick 2 abilities per shaping) Shoulders : Improved Shape Mindblade : Double weapons - you can shape double weapons. These are treated in the same way as forming 2 short swords - i.e. 1 less point of enchantment per weapon head. Two weapon fighting penalties etc apply as normal. You can also form a selection of thrown weapons (chosen at time of shaping the meld. You can shape darts, shurikens etc. You form as many as you can make ranged attacks in a given round). You can make as many thrown weapon attacks with your mindblade as you can with other weapons. Throat : read, write, speak lanaguages (2E / day, 24hr investment), sonic attack E10ft cone, Ed4 dmg Waist : 2+2E to tumble, move silent, balance, climb Heart : +E*char L hp? +E bonus to Con based skills & abilities. +E Natural AC bonus Soul : Meld Armour, +2E Armour bonus. Has enchantment value = mindblade. Similar to mindblade (i.e. list of AC abilities) Soul Armour abilities: Base +2 enhancement & enchantment value, +2E En&Ec ghost touched +3 glammered +1 shadow +1 per +5 skill bonus Silent moves +1 per +5 Skill bonus slick +1 per +5 skill bonus named element resistance +2 per +10 resistance (max +30 resistance per element) Invulnerability +1 DR/magic per 5 DR, (max 15 DR/magic) Essentia Reinforcement +1 per +1AC (max /2 PrC level rounded down) Notes, Armour abilities require that essentia for that ability to be invested for at least 24hrs, even if the meld is unshaped. Abilities are lost in the order of the least number of whole abilities +'s to account for the essentia loss. Incarnum Investment (Active) When assigning mindblade abilities, you can invest essentia into your mindblade to increase it's ability enchantment value. Splitting the mindblade into 2 blades requires each blade to have essentia invested in them separately. Incarnum Resiliance (Active) Once per day (when assigning abilities) you can invest essentia into your mind blade. For each point of essentia invested into this ability, the mind blade gains +3 hardness and +5hp. Delayed chakra progression? Mind Bane (Active). When assigning your mindblade's special abiliites, you can add a named bane ability (from the DMG list of bane weapon abilities). This is a +1 enchantment. The bane type lasts until changed. The type of bane can change everytime you reassign abilities, but you cannot have more than one type of bane effect on your mind blade granted by this class ability at any one time. The bonus to hit & +d6 damage done is equal to the amount of essentia invested in this ability, not a fixed +2 / +2d6. Note, if another class confers a bane ability, it does not count towards this limit. This class ability however, does NOT stack with such abilities. (ie. if you are granted undead bane from another class ability, you could still use this ability, but if you chose undead bane here too, they would overlap - you are not limited to selecting the same bane type though) Align blade (Active, per 24hr) once per day you can align your weapon to: +1 for any of your alignment components +2 1 element. If you use your elemental strike ability, it is automatically changed to that element. If you have more than one elemental align ment, you may specify which one is converted. |
| DracoPhoenix06-07-07, 05:51 PM | Just had an idea for another 2 PrCs - a 10 level Chakra Initiate, centered on unlocking each chakra, each having a different purpose & a small meld set for it. Followed by a 5 level Chakra master that does a kind of archmage job on melds & the Chakra Initiate. Don't know if it's too similar to what's come up already or not (I'm a bit tired now :() |

Took me ages to get any kind of interest in mine. Putting links in my sigs seemed to have helped though ;) |
| Eerongal06-15-07, 01:51 PM | If you want, you can add the shaman shaper from my sig to your list. If not, don't worry about it, doesn't matter either way to me :P It's bascially a shaper/divine caster prestiege class with the flavor geared more towards druids/totemists than incarnate/cleric like the sapphire heirarch. It works with pretty much all divine/meldshapers, though, unlike SH which requires you to be cleric because of the domains and all. :P |

| TiwazTyrsfist06-27-07, 09:39 PM | So, here's a first draft of the PrC I talked about earlier on the main guide thread. P.E.A.C.H. Necrocarnum Ascendant As a Necrocarnum Ascendent, you have discoverd the truth behind incarnum, the great power that only necrocarnum can bring. By sacrificing your own soul-energy, your essentia, you twist that power into Necrossentia, and in so doing, gain greater power over necrocarnum. Entry Requirements Alignment: Any Evil Skills: Spellcraft 8 ranks, Knowledge (Arcana) 8 ranks Feats: Necrocarnum Acolyte Meldshaping: The ability to shape meldshapes, the ability to bind meldshapes to the feet, hands, and crown Chakras. Class Table Level BAB Fort/Ref/Will Abilities Meldshaping 1 +0 +0/+0/+2 Necrossentia Exchange, Expanded Necrocarnum Capacity 1 +1 Existing Meldshaping Level 2 +1 +0/+0/+3 Bonus Necrocarnum Feat +1 Existing Meldshaping Level 3 +1 +1/+1/+3 Chakra Bind (Arms, Brow, Shoulder) +1 Existing Meldshaping Level 4 +2 +1/+1/+4 +1 Existing Meldshaping Level 5 +2 +1/+1/+4 Expanded Necrocarnum Capacity 2 +1 Existing Meldshaping Level 6 +3 +2/+2/+5 Chakra Bind (Throat, Waist) +1 Existing Meldshaping Level 7 +3 +2/+2/+5 Bonus Necrocarnum Feat +1 Existing Meldshaping Level 8 +4 +2/+2/+6 Chakra Bind (Black Heart) +1 Existing Meldshaping Level 9 +4 +3/+3/+6 Expanded Necrocarnum Capacity 3 +1 Existing Meldshaping Level 10 +5 +3/+3/+7 Necrocarnum Apothesis, Chakra Bind (Phlyacrity) +1 Existing Meldshaping Level Class Features Necrossentia Exchange: Everytime you gain a level, you may choose to perminently sacrifice some or all of your essentia. In return, you gain 1.5x as much Necrossentia, rounded down. Necrossentia can only be invested in Necrocarnum melds or special necrocarnum feats. Expanded Necrocarnum Capacity: Starting at first level, you may invest an extra point of necrossentia (but not essentia) in your necrocarnum meldshapes or feats. At level five your capacity is increased one more, and one more again at level nine. Bonus Necrocarnum Feat: At 2nd and 7th level you gain a bonus feat from the list of Necrocarnum feats. I'll come up with necrocarnum feats later. Chakra Binds: At the listed levels, you gain access to your other chakras, so that you can bind meldshapes to them. Chakra Bind (Black Heart): Your heart chakra is opened, but in a limited way. You may only bind Necrocarnum Meldshapes to your heart chakra. Chakra Bind (Phlyacrity): After the Apothesis, your phylacrity functions as a Chakra, replacing your soul chakra once and for all. Necrocarnum Apothesis: At this point the corruption of your soul is complete, and you are consumed by Necrocarnum. The remainder of your normal essentia is converted to necrossentia at the 1.5x exchange rate, rounded down. You gain the Necrocarnum Lich template (see below). Additionally, your meldshaping is now based off your wisdom rather than constitution. And the accompanying template. Midnight Horror Size: Unchanged Type: Changes to Undead (Evil, Incarnum) Hit Dice: All hit dice increase to d12 Armor Class: Gains a +3 natural armor bonus, or the base creatures natural armor bonus, which ever is higher. Attack: Retains the attack options and abilities of the base creature, and gains a touch attack. The touch attack deals 1d8+3 negative energy damage, and 1 essentia drain, gaining a bonus necrossentia for 10 rounds on a successful hit. Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 the lich's HD + Cha Mod) for half damage and resist the essentia drain. Special Attacks: All saves = DC 10 + 1/2 liches HD + Cha mod + necrossentia investment in the ability Fear Aura: Creatures with less than 5 HD within the area of the aura must make a will save or be affected as if by the spell Fear. You may invest Necrossentia in this ability. The aura is 40' + 10' per necrossentia invested. Meldshaping: Necrocarnum liches may shape any necrocarnum meldshape. Special Qualities: Necrocarnum boosted powers: The liches template abilities, I.E. Armor Class, Fear Aura, Touch attack, Damage reduction, and Turn resistance, can be imbued with Necrossentia. Each point invested increases there effect. Each point invested in AC increases it by 1. Each point invested in the touch attack increases the damage by one, and every two points increases the essentia drain by 1. Every point in damage reduction increases it by one. Every two points in Turn resistance increases it by one. Turn Resistance: +3 Damage Reduction: 10/bludgeoning. The touch attack and any natural weapons of the lich are treated as magic for the purpose of overcomming damage reduction. Immunities: Immune to cold, electricity, polymorph, and mind-affecting attacks. Abilities: Increase Int, Wis, and Cha by 2 each. The lich has no Con score. Also, I need help formating the class feature table. I don't know how to do tables apparently. |
| alchemyprime06-28-07, 07:27 PM | Rename the necrocarnum lich. I hate the "X Y" format of new monsters. It's like the "Psionic Lich" idea. (Look for mindborn on the boards.) |

Sleepwalker: Go to the Main thread in my sig, and then to the Classes thread. The only problema I see is that you new class uses TWO magic systems, which is a bit odd. (Of course, thanks to the new Mind's EYe, technically so does the Erudite.) But maybe it could go up in the "Talia Myr" setting as an exclusive class, or in the Oriental Incarnum chapter. (See the WOrlds thread for more info.) |

| Axiomatic_Badger07-27-07, 02:49 PM | Soulfire Conduit "Power need not be sought. It will find you, if you are open to it." Warlocks seek power in many places. Those capable of shaping incarnum can draw on a nigh-infinite source of power, but this pales in comparison to the Soulfire Conduits, who have opened themselves fully to incarnum. Conduits learn to nourish themselves from incarnum, twist meldshaping and invocations together, and charge thier eldritch blasts with soul energy. Hit Die: d6. Requirements: -Feats: Soultouched Spellcasting -Invocations: Open Chakra (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=11217301&postcount=1) -Skills: Knowledge (Arcana) 8 Ranks, Spellcraft 8 Ranks. -Special: Eldritch Blast 2d6 -Meldshaping: Ability to shape 3 soulmelds; ablity to bind a soulmeld to a chakra. Class Skills: The Soulfire Conduit’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Knowledge (Arcana) (Int), Knowledge (The Planes) (Int), Knowledge (Religion) (Int), Profession (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), and Use Magic Device (Cha). Skill Points at Each Level: 2 + Int modifier. Table: Soulfire Conduit lvl bab Fort Ref Will class features 1st +0 +0 +0 +2 Embed Invocation 2nd +1 +0 +0 +3 Melded Metabolism 3rd +2 +1 +1 +3 Improved Open Chakra 4th +3 +1 +1 +4 Melded Metabolism 5th +3 +1 +1 +4 Bonus Invocation 6th +4 +2 +2 +5 Melded Metabolism 7th +5 +2 +2 +5 Improved Open Chakra 8th +6 +2 +2 +6 Melded Metabolism 9th +6 +3 +3 +6 Improved Open Chakra 10th +7 +3 +3 +7 Melded Metabolism Class Features All of the following are Class Features of the Soulfire Conduit prestige class. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: You gain no new proficiencies with weapons, armour, or shields. Invocations: At each level, you gain new invocations known and an increase in caster level as if you had also gained a level in an invocation-using class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level (this includes eldritch blast.) You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one invocation-using class before becoming a soulfire conduit, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining caster level and invocations known. Meldshaping: At each level, you increase your meldshaper level, the number of soulmelds you can shape, the number of chakra binds you can create, and your essentia pool as if you had also gained a level in an meldshaping class to which you belonged prior to obtaining the soulfire conduit level. You do not, however, gain any other abilitied of that class, such as new tiers of chakra binds. If you had more than one meldshaping class before becoming a soulfire conduit, you much decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining your essentia pool, meldshaper level, and the number of soulmelds and chakra binds available. Embed Invocation: At first level, you learn how to fuse your soulmelds and invocations together. Whenever you would bind a soulmeld to a chakra, you may choose any invocation currently affecting you, that has a duration of 1 round per caster level or greater. As long as the soulmeld remains bound, the duration of the invocation changes to permanent, and cannot be dispelled by any means. Should the soulmeld become unbound for any reason, the invocation ends immediately, as though it's duration had ended. Melded Metabolism: Starting at second level, your body begins to adapt to, and draw sustenance from, the energies contained within it. You only need to eat and drink once a week to remain healthy. At 4th level, you need only sleep 1 hour per night. At 6 level, you become immune to nonmagical diseases & poisons. At 8th level, you're immunity expands to include magic diseases & poisons. Finally, at 10th level, you no longer need to eat, drink, sleep or breathe. Improved Open Chakra: At third level, your attunement to incarnum makes it easier to open your chakras. Whenever you use your Open Chakra invocation, you can open 2 chakras instead of 1, and the invocation's effective spell level increases to 4. Your invocation improves again at seventh level, allowing 3 chakras to be opened, with an effective spell level of 6, and at ninth, allowing 4 open chakras, with an effective spell level of 8. Bonus Invocation: At level five, you gain Incarnum Blast as a bonus invocation. |
| Prime3207-27-07, 06:08 PM | Embedded invocations can't be dispelled? Urrgh... that doesn't seem like a good idea. Maybe you should follow the example of the Tenacious Magic epic feat - they can be dispelled, but return in 1d4 rounds (like a magic item). |
| Axiomatic_Badger07-28-07, 01:58 PM | It's important to note embedded invocations aren't actually immune to dispelling. You just need an unshape soulmeld or unbind chakra spell to strip the effect instead of dispel magic. |
| tygarimew09-10-07, 07:16 AM | I sure hope this is OK to post here. *trembles* I am a massive fan of Incarnum. Totemist is my favorite class. I was disappointed to see it didnt have any means of aquiring an animal companion. *sulks* With that thought in mind I designed this Prestiege Class. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Soul Companion Havent been able to think of a description for this class yet. Any sugestions would be apprciated. Entry Requirements Skill: Handle Animal +8, Knowledge Nature +8, Knowledge Arcana +8 Feat: Share Soulmeld Special: Animal Companion, Totem Chakra, Wild Empathy +5 LVL BAB Fort Ref Will -- Special 1st ++0 ++2 ++0 +2 -- Totem Companion, Share Soulmeld 30 feet, Wild Empathy 2nd ++1 ++3 ++0 +3 -- Split Soul, Soul Bond +2, +1 level to existing Magic class or Meldshaping class 3rd ++2 ++3 ++1 +3 -- Totem Chakra Bind +1 4th ++3 ++4 ++1 +4 -- Share Soulmeld 60 feet, +1 level to existing Magic class or Meldshaping class 5th ++3 ++4 ++1 +4 -- Soul Bond +2 6th ++4 ++5 ++2 +5 -- Beast Companion, +1 level to existing Magic class or Meldshaping class 7th ++5 ++5 ++2 +5 -- Share Soulmeld 120 feet 8th ++6 ++6 ++2 +6 -- Soul Bond +2, +1 level to existing Magic class or Meldshaping class 9th ++6 ++6 ++3 +6 -- Totem Chakra Bind +2 10th +7 ++7 ++3 +7 -- Beast Soul, Share Soulmeld Plane, +1 level to existing Magic class or Meldshaping class Weapon & Armor Proficiency: None Totem Companion: You can bind your Totem Chakra to your Animal Companion as a Totem Companion Soulmeld. This creates a telepathic link between the character and its Animal Companion, the range is equal to the characters Share Soulmeld ability. For every point of essentia you add to your Totem Companion Soulmeld your Animal Companion gets a +1 hp per hit die and its effective companion level is raised by +1. Share Soulmeld: As the feat but with increased range to 30 feet. This increases futher as level increases. lvl 4 60 feet, lvl 7 120 feet, lvl 10 unlimited range Wild Empathy: See Druid and or Totemist. Split Soul: A player may choose to split thier effect compaion levels and choose to summon two companions. Example a Druid 4 / Totemist 2 / Soul Companion 2 would have an effective companion level of +6 (+4 Druid, +2 Soul Companion = +6). The Soul Companion Could choose to either keep thier single companion with +6 campanion levels or split it and have two compaions who equaled +6 companion levels. Nither animal companion can have more companion levels then the characters character level. Sacrificed companion levels for a more powerful animal companion is applied per animal companion. For example if a player would like to have 2 tiger animal companions they would need to have +14 companion levels. Split the companion levels for +7 each then -6 for each companion to meet the tiger prerequisates. Each tiger would be considered an animal companion with +1 companion level each. Soul Bond: The characters Animal Companion effective levels is increased by +2. This can not raise an Animal Companion's companion level above the player's character level. This ability is gotten twice more for a total of +6. Totem Chakra Bind: See Totemist Beast Companion: The character's connection to beast spirits has grown to such a degree that the character can now bond with magical beast's. Beast Soul: The Player's character bond to magic beasts has grown to such an extent that the player's character has become a magic beast itself. The Player's Character's type changes to Magical Beast. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I sure hope this is ok. I wasnt sure how to ask for permission. mew.... Anyways this prestiege class is still in developement. I feel it might be to powerful and need to be toned down some. I am thinking over it alot but this is the current design version. Any opinion s would be greatly appreciated. |
