| Andrewman06-07-07, 09:28 PM | Out of the book Sword and Fist I was looking at the Ghostwalker and it does look somewhat interesting, problem is I've been wrong before about these things. I was wondering if anyone has played as one and if it was a fun class to be. |
| Ertai Planeswalker06-07-07, 10:00 PM | Well, the reckoning bonus is it's most powerfull class feature and that only applies the second time you fight an enemy that nearly killed you the first time. Now i don't know how many enemies you fight twice, but in my group, 99% of the enemies we encounter do not live to tell the tale so that would make it useless. Secondly, although the ghostwalker gains the feign death ability, the rest of your party does not have it. And i don't think the party will take a liking to you if you start feinting death halfway in a fight, just so you'll have bonuses the next time. Because, you know, they don't and they can't feign death. So even if you don't kill the enemies in order to be able to fight them a 2nd time, you partymembers will. Add in the fact that it requires you to take three really bad feats to qualify, and i'd say this prc just outright sucks. It's more of a DM thing for recurring villains imo. |
