| Nicholas the Paladin02-26-07, 09:12 AM | Is the Telflammar Shadowlord (FR) worth it? (it's from Unapproachable East, FR) and can it be combined with Swordsage and Rogue? While not really that impressive, I think the Telflammar Shadowlord is really cool thematically. I can imagine him shadowstepping in and out and using his sneackattack ability ( I assume this 'shadowjump' prevents opponents to use their Dex). But the downside is it's *steep* prerequisites. - must have 4 feats (effectively blindfight and spring attack) - be able to 'shadow jump' (can a Swordsage do that through 'Shadow Hand' maneuvers?). besides that it doens't give any Sneackattack progress, but leans heavily on it's unique shadow-abilities (which are really good ). I like the idea, but am wondering if it's worth it. |

| DarknessEternal02-26-07, 09:31 AM | Any class that gets 3 full attacks a round is probably worth it. |
| The_Shaman02-26-07, 10:22 AM | It can also be nice in conjunction with another Death Attack class for better DC of the ability. I think it's quite okay, to be honest - arguably, it's better than shadowdancer. As for its spellcasting, have you noticed the spell list? I think it's quite nice, to be honest. Not even bards have such ALDI versions of higher level spells - I don't think there's even 1 spell that is at the same level wizards or clerics get it :D . |

I think it's quite okay, to be honest - arguably, it's better than shadowdancer. that's not very hard, since the shadowdancer is not all that good. |

It's too bad you need yo worship Mask in order to get it. |

| NoldorForce02-26-07, 12:47 PM | I don't recall what the recommended abilities are, but the gist of this is that you teleport three times using your move, standard, and swift actions to do so. The ability to pull this combination off multiple times per day is the reason why Teflammar Shadowlord is generally considered one of the stronger prestige classes. |

| Chimaera200002-27-07, 02:43 PM | Teflemmar Shadowlord is solid, but I prefer the lower prerequisites and earlier entry of the Crinti Shadow Marauder (Shining South). The abilities it grants aren't as strong as those of the Shadowlord, but who cares when it gets Shadow Pounce? |
| The_Shaman02-27-07, 05:18 PM | CSM is a great class, and I have thought about extending it to 10 lvls (PM me if you're interested), but it's a bit on the weak side. Medium BAB, 2 levels of sudden strike, and you can't do much unmounted... Definitely cool in terms of story, but somewhat lackluster mechanically. |
| Aminvelos02-27-07, 11:29 PM | Let me elaborate, at the 4th lvl of Telflammar Shadowlord learns to use shadow pounce which allows him to make a full attack after whenever he jumps into a shadow and comes out another. This means you an technically make a full attack everytime you teleport using a shadow jump-type ability. Although this makes you limited by your movement because I'm quite sure it takes 10 feet of movement to teleport ( no matter the distance) so u move 10 feet full attack 20 feet full attack (spring attack, shadow pounce) then somehow u can probably move again with something else which would allow u to shadow jump in the right situation. |
