Is there a PrC with Ranged Death Attack? [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-16-08, 02:48 AM I was looking at assassin, but it says you have to hit with a melee weapon so I was wondering if there was any other classes. Thx for any help!

02-16-08, 08:05 AM Are you limited to books or can you use homebrew from the boards? If you are limited to just published material than what material do you have access to?

If you can use homebrew than might I advertise my Goblin Potshot Sniper? The link is in my sig. It doesn't have a ranged death attack but it can sneak attack from over 100ft. away.

02-16-08, 10:03 AM The Arcane Archer gets a Death Arrow ability at 10th level, which is very similar to the Assassin's Death Attack. But not the same.

And any spellcaster worth its salt has a spell that equates to Save or Lose (sometimes not outright death, but enough to eliminate that person from the battle and kill them off afterward).

02-16-08, 02:04 PM Power Word: Kill, Finger Of Death, and Disintegrate are some of my favorites when it comes to quick kill spells.

Disintegrate is death on failed saving throw, and damage on successful save.

I have access to every book and can pick from all.

02-16-08, 04:55 PM There is one PrC that does this, allowing Death Attacks with a Longbow. Unfortunately, I lack the book it was in and have since forgotten the name of said PrC.

You could ask on the Char Ops boards, and they could probably help with that.

02-17-08, 06:31 PM Apart from Justice of Weald and Woe, there is also a 4th level Assassain spell that lets you death attack at range - I believe it's called Sniper's Eye.
