Also if the Lasher had a hangman golem and the Master of Chains had a chain golem who would win?...discuss |

And while I found Master of Chains -awesome-, in reality they weren't that great. So I'll vote for Master of Chains. |

I think you've got that backwards: it's that Lashers can opt to deal out normal damage even with an ordinary whip, doing bonus damage in general and sneak attack damage in particular with either a whip or a whip dagger -- though, yes, a high-level Lasher can forego inflicting either subdual or normal damage when opting to shoot for stunning effects and even outright helplessness. Lashers also gain extra attacks per round, pick up Improved Trip and Improved Disarm feats, and monkey around with the "attacks of opportunity" rules in a variety of ways -- all only when using a whip or whip dagger, but, hey, that's the downside of superspecializing. The upside is that a Lasher effectively masters trick shots to the point where it's as if he's got a third hand with a fifteen-foot reach, ably flicking small objects from place to place in between snuffing out candle flames and wrapping a swingline around stuff; if he disarms somebody, he can pretty well put the liberated weapon anywhere he pleases. |
