| Mr Ruffles06-09-07, 02:58 AM | I am playing a ninja/warmage and can't think of a good prestige class off hand. Is there one that combines ninja or rogue like skills with still getting spellcasting? Any suggestions would be helpful. |
| Marcus Majarra06-09-07, 03:08 AM | Look in your DMG: the Arcane Trickster. Also, Complete Adventurer boasts the Daggerspell Mage, which does quite well for Warmages. |

Daggerspell mage followed by arcane trickster (you need to be able to cast mage hand, though, don't know if it were on the spell list) might be my first choice. Oh, btw, the Magelord (LEoFaerun) would be very good if you could somehow get evasion, but that can be rather hard for ninjas. |
| legowarrior06-09-07, 10:52 AM | That's a wierd combination, a class that gains armor and casting and a class that benefits with having no armor. |
| Mr Ruffles06-09-07, 01:21 PM | It might have been better to go rogue. But I wanted the ghost step power so I could get people flat footed without have to flank them or hide after shooting with the -20 to hide. The spell wrap sniper might be a good one to go into, but most of my spells are touch and have no saving throw already. |

You get to choose a number of skills based upon your int bonus which you can always take 10 on despite distractions. It is very useful to be able to always take 10 on a concentration check.... Only problem is the earliest level you can take exemplar is level 11 as you must have one skill at rank 13... It is in complete adventurer. |

Don't worry, greater invisibility is a lvl 4 spell ;) IIRC PHB II had a feature for warmages to gain spells that are not evocations, and a rogue or ninja/caster can't go wrong with GI. |

Yes, it lets you choose any sor/wiz spell, but if it is not an evocation, it is one level higher for you. Example: mage hand would be a 1st level spell (normally 0). As a side note: I let Beguiler's use this option for their Advanced Learning too. |
| sally_jones06-14-07, 01:15 AM | i dont know much about it but i think spellwarp sniper in complete scoundrel might work well. |
| Mr Ruffles06-14-07, 03:39 AM | I seen that, the Spellwarp Sniper works pretty good. I might go into that after Force Missle Mage. Nothing like being invis and casting a nonverbal magic missle spell with six missles. Plus add sudden strike and warmage edge on that. |
| The_Shaman06-14-07, 04:30 AM | Just to clarify, afaik you can not add sneak attack damage to magic missile, or at most to the first missile. Unless there's a way to make it into rays from Spellwarp sniper, that is. |
