Greetings all,

I am currently playing a LG rogue/swashbuckler, type character. I'm 6th level. I am looking for a prestige class with flavor geared towards fighting demons.

Does anyone recall something like that?

Slayer of Domiel, Book of Exalted Deeds.

No! Not Slayer of Domiel! That class really isn't very good. Death Touch == sucks. If you really want to focus on killing demons, then take another feat from the BoED. It changes your sneak attack to deal d8s against evil outsiders, and some other benefit, too.

If you're dealing 4x9d6 at level 20, against demons you'd have a +1 average damage, so thats +36 average damage each round, and you probably beat DR/good, too.

All of the prestige classes for demonslaying really specialise you too much - you stop being able to fight normal foes effectively.

Though, if there's some way you can get Favored enemy (evil)...

To elaborate on that: Take a level in Ranger. Then you'll qualify for the Foe Hunter PrC from Masters of the Wild.

As far as I know, there are only three demonslayer PrCs for non-spellcasters out there. The two already mentioned, and the Knight of the Chalice from Complete Warrior.

Take Ranger 1/Stalker of Kharrash 2 or Harper Paragon. That nets you Favored Enemy(evil). Take Outsider (evil) depending on your preference, and I think you get double the bonuses. Then , Foe Hunter the rest of the way, choosing evil instead of Outsider (evil).

(Just to elaborate even further - you want a strong general bonus against a lot of evil things, not just outsiders)

Thanks for the responses, i saw slayer of domel ( and its subsequent suckage) i think i am going to stay with what i am. which is pretty effective as is, and just fluff the rest.

I would recommend Hellreaver, but it's not exactly what you would call a finessable class, i.e. It likes to smash things, evil things.

You could take this class (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=915294) that I made! It needs some testing anyway....

If you have a decent charisma score you could take Avenging Strike from the Book of Nine Swords.

If you get the ability to turn undead the Divine Justice

Divine Justice [Divine]

You can channel divine energy to deal extra melee damage to evil outsiders.

Prerequisite: Ability to turn or rebuke undead.

Benefit: As a swift action, spend one of your turn or rebuke undead attempts to deal an extra 2d6 points of damage with all your successful melee attacks against evil outsiders until the end of the round. In addition, evil outsiders struck by one of your attacks while you are using this feat must succeed on a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Cha modifier) or be shaken for 1 minute. Khatoblepas is right; I just remembered that there was some demon-assassinating PrC, looked it up and stuck it up without investigating.
