| DareDevil304-06-07, 12:21 PM | i have the chance in our campaign to add levels 6-10 to the abjurant champion. now i know that this will get blasted because most people think this is overpowered class and how could someone actually add levels and not destroy the campaign balance. We have a small group of 2 PC's and 1 NPC so our DM gives us the benefit of the doubt power wise because he doesnt dumb down the encounters even though we are one character down. He is letting me kind of copy the first 5 levels, so keep the bab, saves and spell progression and i am able to add 4 abilities for the last 5 levels. So far the only ability i have come up with is the Persistant spell feat applied to abjuration spells. Since the A.C. gets extended abjuration this seems to fit well. If anyone else has any idea's on any feats, abilities or anything else that would fit please feel free to reply. Thanks D |

Take a good look at what Osedox just said... then think about this. If you are going to extend it to a 10 level class, you have to rework the abilities already in the class. The class is built on scaling for the five levels it has... it becomes overpowered when you add another five levels as is... a shield spell that adds +14 to AC as a swift action at level 15? on top of other things you'd have at that level... No. Not going to work. :( You'll either have to increase the prerequisites to make it more like a Eldritch Knight or a Phantom Knight or scale back some of the current abilities and pull a caster level or three... think how the Spellsword is only half casting and it gets good base attack and good hitpoints... Then you can start talking about adding things. Abjurant Champion is built around a certain niche... and I don't believe you're really thinking about that. :P |
