| gixanthrax11-14-07, 07:33 AM | Currently our DM plans to play a 7th level Party and I'm planning to play a Druid5/MoMFs. Now as a MoMF i can assume any humanoid form i want, thus enabling me to imitate any race that falls under this category. Now i heard about the Dark stalker in FF, so if i assume that form, do i have all his abilities like the bonus to hide, the 3D6 sneak attack 90% concealment and so on? what if i assume the form of an Orc Barbarian, can i rage? And at higher levels, am ii granted greater invisibilty if i decide to play afairy? Does level adjustment count to HD to determine which form i can assume acording to my own HD/Levels? Does the druid's wildshape restriction of creatures of a max 15HD also apply to a druid/ MoMF ? please help me. |

You gain their natural armor bonus and movement modes. You gain their (Ex) special attacks, but (until 7th level in MoMF) none of their special qualities. For Dark stalker, this means you would gain the 3d6 sneak attack damage. No to the 90% concealment, and I'm not sure about racial skill bonii, but im sure someone else can help out with that info. As for the orc barbarian thing, I dont believe you can change into creatures with class levels, sorry. As for Greater Invisibility, look up its listing under the creatures entry. If it is an (Ex) special quality, you can gain access to it, but only after you hit MoMF level 7. If it is listed as Su or Sp, no luck (unless your DM lets you take a 3.0 feat, Assume Supernatural Ability from, I believe, Masters of the Wild). Level adjustment has no impact on the forms you can take, but this does not allow you to throw templates onto the forms you take. Finally, as for the 15 HD limit, I asked this question myself a while ago and was told that because the Wild Shape entry says that the limit is your effective Druid level and doesnt mention any cap, its waived. You can take a form with as many HD as you have effective druid levels. Hope that helped, and other posters can fill in anything I missed. Cheers! |

As for templates: So I'm not allowed to play a feral minotaur, thats bad, but ok... So my next task is going to find the ultimate creatures that fit into my HD&size range. any suggestions? Oh, and what about armor and so on? Can i take any creature out of the MMs FF and so just as they are stated there, complete with armour and weapons and other posessions, or do they appear naked? Am i restricted to forms I'm familiar with( like the druids polar bear example)? sorry for all the questions, but the more i think about it, the more questions arise... |

The rule on equipement is that the equipement you are wearing blends into the new form and become useless, unless the have a special enchantment (beasthide or wild for armor, wilding for other equipement). You retain you profeciencies, so weapon, shield and other equipement can still be used. Taking of an armor and putting it back after will only work if you're the same size and similar type (like humanoid and giant if you were a large humanoid, and some monstrous humanoid); other creatures can't wear armor design for humanoid (once again, the beasthide or wild enchantement gets you around the problem). I think brown bear and dire ape are always winner, until you can be a troll with regen (you need 7th level of MoMF) which is also tough, and treant later, elemental, dragon, giants. The real fun with MoMF is to change often. You are restricted to form you are familiar with. Also make sure to take the assume supernatural ability feat (might be a different name), which let you use 1 supernatural ability of a form you assume. |
