Master of Many Forms help [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-24-07, 10:38 AM So, at level 10 you get Gargantan Dragon. Can someone tell me the point of this when every single G Dragon I look up has way too many HD? Can someone direct me to a G Dragon, or even any G creature with 20 or less HD?
Also, what's the highest AC creature I can assume the form of, anyone know?

03-24-07, 02:23 PM I thought at level 10 you got Gargantuan AND Dragon. You can wild shape into the monstrous spider/scorpions, they're gargantuan. =) Rocs are fair game. I think that though you get both gargantuan and dragon, you're not supposed to use them together.

You get Dragon Wild Shape instead. ;)

03-24-07, 08:12 PM Yeah, at least for a while you won't be shifting in gargantuan dragons. Anyway, the dragon shapes MoMF offers are a bit meh - the draconic wildshape feat also gives you all supernatural abilities (read: breath) for which you otherwise have to spend feats like mad.

Generally, I've heard that MoMFs use dragon shape for utility (fast flight, often swim and burrow) instead of fighting. However, taking Assume Su Ability (Savage Species) could be useful. That, and there are a few creatures that are classified as Dragons (i.e. dragon turtle) that don't have too many HDs.

03-27-07, 10:20 AM Not anymore, I think. The 3.0 version - the Shifter - could shapechange to outsiders and undead, but the MoMF can't do it now (pre-epic, at least).
