On page 51 of Complete Arcane is the prestige class Master Transmogrifist. What I am trying to ind out is if the abilities that revolve around its favored shape ability, such as manifest senses and battle mastery, would still apply if you assumed the form with a spell cast from a scroll or wand. According to the class info only the 10th level ability infinite variety says 'when he casts ..." the rest of the abilities say "favored shape he assumes...". I know that spell completion and spell trigger items are like casting spells but how "like" is it? What opinions are out there and what documentation as well? Thanks.

Well I can only say that I think it does. Yes, wheter you cast it or use a scroll or anything else. Also, I might be wrong but I think you 'cast' when you use a scroll, so it would still apply to that situation, even for the last ability. I would think the rules in the master transmogrifist description is all you need.
