Natures Twin

The Druid, a person born as a druid or raised by animals has the power of nature in its purest form. Nature has few followers but bestows it’s blessings on the all living things in it’s realm. Using the power of nature and powerful beasts, combined with the strength of man creates a new being in it’s own right. When combined these two entwine themselves naturally. The power of the wild beasts and the strength of the druids soul form an amazingly powerful connection with each other. A breathe taking experience & a sight to behold.

Requirements
To qualify to become a Natures Twin, a character must fulfill the following requirements.
Alignment: Any Neutral
Base Attack Bonus: +4
Knowledge (Nature): 9 Ranks
Spells: Able to cast 2nd level Divine spells
Special: Must have an Animal Companion and the Wild Empathy class feature.

Class Skills
A Natures Twin has the following class skills: Concentration, Handle Animal, Knowledge (Nature), Climb, Search, Jump, Listen, Ride, Spellcraft, Spot, Survival, and Swim.
Skill Points: 4 + Int mod

Class Features
The following are class features of the Natures Twin prestige class.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Natures Twin gains no Weapon or Armor Proficiencies.

Spellcasting: +1 Level to an Existing Divine Spellcasting Class, each level.

Beastial Enhancement(Ex): A Natures Twin has the greatest attachment to the Beasts of his world as well as the animals. He takes no penalties from handle animal checks from magic beasts or any other effects. A Natures Twin’s animal companion and brother of the wild increases it’s ability in combat. See druid chart

Linked Lives(Ex): So well formed is the bond between beast and the Natures Twin, that his animal companions and himself are always in effect of linked lives and are able to take direct damage from wounds caused to the opposite creature (like the shield other spell). Example: The Natures Twin’s animal companion takes damage from a fireball, but the damage is then taken on the Natures Twin instead protecting his fellow animal brothers. This ability can be used on summoned beasts as well, to a maximum of 10 hp per beast.

Beastial Anger(Ex): Beasts are quick to taunt and annoy in most cases, but some know how to release their anger to the best of their ability. A Nature Twin may use this ability once per day starting at 2nd level, and another time per day every other level there after, as well he may choose to use one of his wild shapes per day to use beastial anger.
(Beastial Anger): The Natures Twin, and his animal companions become enraged and gain the rage ability as if he were a barbarian of the same level. As well the natures speed and strength, enhances this further so that no mind effects, slowing effects, immobilizing effects, can affect the enraged targets. This ability extends to summoned beasts as well. The effected targets also gain +5 further movement speed.
(Beastial Anger; Initiative): The beastial anger effect also increases the initiative order of all affected targets by +2 to their initiative roll for the remainder of the effect. This effect also decreases the AC loss to 1 instead of 2 for the usual rage effect.
(Beastial Anger; Growth): The beastial anger effect, increases the size of the affected targets, as if they were effected by the enlarge animal or enlarge person spell, but to only 1 size category larger.
(Beastial Anger; Power): This beastial anger is the full effective power of the beasts wrath, it’s effect increases the strength of all affected targets by 2, and they gain the feats, Improved Grab, Pounce, Improved Charge, Improved Overrun for the remainder of the effect.
The Beastial Anger effect lasts for a number of rounds equal to ½ the Natures Twin’s level + Con modifier, this ability counts as a spell like ability and can only be removed from such things as anti-magic field etc…

Fury of the Beast(Su): The animal companions of the Natures Twin are the only ones affected by this ability, and gain a unique traits per category/subtype of creature, that can be both effective for the Natures Twin and the beast itself.

Canine: Vicious Bite
Feline: Critical fury.
Simian: Trained throw.
Avian: Swooping Strike.
Arachnid: Chosen Poison.
Any further effective animals that are used in your campaign, the unique traits should be discussed thoroughly with your DM and agreed upon within a reasonable variant of the above ideas (DM’s discretion). All beasts under control of the Natures Twin, are subject to the Eye of the Tiger effect.

Chosen Poison: Instead of the usual poison that a spider is born with the Natures Twin can change the arachnids effective poison type through natural and magical ways. (choose a new type of a poison in the DM’s guide or other poison lists, that fits the size category of the arachnid, and have your DM agree to this poison type)
Critical Fury: When a feline scores a critical hit on an opponent the blaze of the battle and feel of enemy blood, gives both the Natures Twin and his animal companions an increased sense of battle, and gain a +2 to hit modifier for 3 rounds.
Swooping Strike: An avian companion may attempt an overrun ability when swooping in to strike and enemy, at no negatives and as if he had the improved overrun feat. The talons of the avian allow it to still get a single strike if using this ability.
Trained Throw: A Simian companion can be trained to throw certain weapons, as if he had the throw anything Feat, but only for medium or lower weapons/objects.
Vicious Bite: A canine’s bite is so powerful it causes ruptures and pains to continue through time after the bite, this ability causes the bitten opponent to take a DC 15 + Natures Twin’s level fortitude save. If failed the opponent is stunned for 1 rounds, and moves at half movement for 2 rounds there after, if he passes, the bite still lower the opponents movement for 2 rounds.

Go for the Throat (Ex): This ability increases both the Natures Twin, and his animal companion’s critical threat range with unarmed strikes, as if they had the improved critical feat. This effect also increases the range by 1 point every time they score a critical hit in a battle by 1. Example: A wolf companion has critical threat range of 19-20 with his bite and claws, but during a fight against an opponent he scored 2 critical hits, and is still in the fight his critical threat range is now 17-20. This effect can only go to a maximum critical threat range of 15, and the effect does not last after the battle is over, it is to represent the fury and power of animals going for critical body points such as the throat to win fights and stay alive.

After looking through nearly every book and option for a druid prestige class, I realised that their were few class's that specialized in team abilities with your animal companion, in most cases the animal companion could be seen as a burdon or not particularly useful, so i would usualy just find PRC that made the druid more powerful in combat through shapeshifting or extra spell powers and other neat tricks and trades. But what about the bond between the animals that the druid lived with for so long, their bond must be amazing.

So I purposed this idea instead of just making the druid a shapeshifter for melee or a divine spellcaster PRC, let's do what the druid does best, use his healing and divine spells, support in combat, and now with this PRC his animal companion is no longer weaker then a class character instead the levels of his PRC are poured into his beast as if it were a character itself. Please tell me what you think of this I believe it's what the druid class has been missing.
