Need info about Tempest-something-or-other [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-10-07, 12:16 PM There's a PrC I was looking at yesterday in Complete Warrior that had Tempest in its name. It specialized in dual-wielding... if anyone can give me info about this PrC it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

06-10-07, 12:23 PM The Tempest basically takes TWF to the next level. By that, I mean that a Tempest gradually lessens his TWF penalties until using a light weapon in the off-hand has no penalties whatsoever, and dual-wielding bastard swords is like dual-wielding short swords. You also get to apply the benefits of certain weapon-specific feats to other weapons dealing with TWF.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Or were you asking for general info? Then again, that might be against the rules too. I can see reason in that being illegal too.

06-10-07, 08:50 PM Tempest isn't in Complete Warrior Tempest is in Complete Adventurer. And yes Tempest is a 5 level PrC that helps when fighting with two weapons. Also don't forget Two Weapon Spring attack. The class is fun when paired with Derivsh and can do intresting things with Double Weapons most of which are exotic and so can be paired with the exotic weapon master.

You may be conflating the Tempest PrC with the special properties of a Sunblade here. There's nothing in the Tempest PrC that allows the character to use larger size category weaponry in lieu of an off-hand light weapon.

It also helps with your defense when you wield two weapons.
