| Montravont05-22-07, 04:50 PM | A new class a friend and mine threw together. Still needs some fine tuning and there's a little left to be completed. Shadowy Nature 5 is still TBD. Shadow Jump is not a x/lvl adjustment, rather it's raised by taking the ability again when you have the option. This was done for balance reasons. It's kinda off the wall, the way we did this, but we like it. Any comments or suggestions? http://lh4.google.com/image/montravont/RlMm8Z3T1EI/AAAAAAAAACA/-qFe4STPIXQ/s800/silhouette.JPG http://lh4.google.com/image/montravont/RlMm8Z3T1FI/AAAAAAAAACI/XBaqOBGVENU/s800/silskill1.JPG http://lh5.google.com/image/montravont/RlMm8p3T1HI/AAAAAAAAACY/jKLv8_gnYrg/s800/silskill2.JPG http://lh5.google.com/image/montravont/RlMm8p3T1GI/AAAAAAAAACQ/SY53KW6ZhQs/s800/siltable.JPG |

Perhaps only 1d6 every three levels would be a bit fairer, especially with the full BAB progression and d10 hp. Something there should give...why not d8 or even d6? Shadows are usually thought of as light and ethereal, not tough. Also, what is the Shadowy Nature 5 ability? |

Shadows are usually thought of as light and ethereal, not tough. Also, what is the Shadowy Nature 5 ability? Yeah, we were thinking of changing the sneak attack progression. This is slightly meant to emulate rogue/swash with daring outlaw, thus the current sneak attack progression. as for the hit die, went with d10 because its supposed to be more fighter class but not quite warrior and while shadows are ethereal, the actual Shadow from the MM gets a d12 as undead, which is the shadow this class is getting is affinity from. And also again with the correlation to Swashbucker, which also gets full BAB. Alas Shadowy Nature 5 has not been hammered out yet. We were thinking something along the lines of Shroud of Shadows which would give you Self Concealment as per the feat, but would not allow you to go over the 50% max of taking Self Concealment. But again, still not sure. |
