My only problem is that the Nightmare Spinner makes you immune to fear effects and the Dread Witch bases all of their bonuses off of fear effects. How would you rule about this combination? |

Immunity is like automatically making the save, or not needing to make the save at all to resist an effect. You're still exposed to it, but you never need to save. It also doesn't state that you don't gain the benefit if you become immune to fear. All in all, Nightmare Spinner/Dread Witch sounds like a pretty sweet deal. |

Any more opinions on this? A second question I have to ask is, if the Greater Master of Terror (Ex) of the Dread Witch (makes your fear spells so potent that they even scare the hell out of fear-immune creatures) allows you to enhance the Deadly Nightmare (SU) of the Nightmare Spinner. Well.. thats an Supernatural Ability (not an actual fear spell), so I would guess that your Deadly Nightmares can't be combined with Greater Master of Terror.. Which would be a shame, cuz in that case the synergy between Nightmare Spinner and Dread Witch is not that high anymore... and when you take into account that you will loose 2 caster levels if you take both PrC full I'm not so sure anymore if thats a good deal.. |
