Ordained Champion, Critical hit with channeled spells [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-03-07, 07:04 PM Hi, I have a question concerning the Channel ability of The Ordained Champion (CC).

What happens if I score a critical hit and channel a spell that deals damage ?

Which critical threshold does the channeled spell use, the weapon or a natural 20 ?
Does the spell use the base x2 critical multiplier or it uses the weapon crit. ?
Does the spell damage also multiply (as if using a touch spell) ?

For example, @ lv15 using a Scythe and channeling Harm you could do 600 (+weapon) dmg with a critical hit ... kinda BROKEN.:D

10-04-07, 04:37 AM The spell should not crit. Treat it as a rider-on effect, like the flaming weapon property.
