My problem is as it follows:

I checked out the Dervish, cause one of my mates might want to take the class soon. As I didn't have CW available at the time, I checked the internet. I found a collection of maaaaany prestige classes, including the Dervish. The minimum requirement read like this: BaB +5, Perform (Dance) 5 ranks, Tumble 3 ranks. Feats: Combat Expertise, Dodge, Mobility, Weapon Focus (any slashing weapon). This would mean that the minimum level for a fighter to enter would be 7 ( because of the 5 ranks in perform). Later on I checked the CW, and there it said Dervish needed only 3 ranks in Perform (Dance). This would mean a minimum level of 5. Logically I would follow the book, but the example in CW is a level 7 fighter/5 Dervish. Herein lies the problem: Every other class I've checked so far has an example where the minimum level for entering is used.

I've looked at the errata, and didn't find anything in it. Could someone help me out?

Whatever is written in the book's class description is the definitive answer. People make mistakes when writing stuff on the web all the time. As for example characters, it's best if you don't pay any attention to them. They're often filled with mistakes too.

Go with the book. its a toss-up as to which is wrong a larger percent of the time, internet sources or WotC sample characters.
