Im starting in a new campaign soon, and think I would like to play a Planar Shepherd. Like so many of you out there, however, I find the class to be a little overpowered. So, to balance things out to make it playable but not overly dominating, I am going to shuffle around a few things. I hope people can give me feedback on the success of my attempt to balance it. Thanks in advance!

Change 1: Use standard D&D planar selections (and voluntarily refrain from using wish, etc.. from those creatures/planes that might allow it by RAW)

Change 2: By using change 1, just about all the abusable time dilation effects are removed, which is one reason many thought the class was just too darn good.

Change 3: Being a homebrew setting, it is unlikely that the manifest zone abilities will come into play.

So, do you think that these modifications, combined with a little care not to overshadow the rest of the party, make the Planar Shepherd playable?

Still going to be powerful, but seems reasonable to me.

If the player (you) is willing to put the effort in to play fair, pretty much any class can work well.
