PrC for Duskblade?? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-27-07, 09:39 AM Hm, I always wondered which would be the best PrC for a duskblade. So, it happens that I play one at the moment, and would like to take a PrC. Plz make some suggestions.

08-27-07, 09:48 AM Duskblade is actually a good class to take the whole way, in my opinion, but if you insist.

Dragon Disciple from the DMG lowers your BAB by a bit, but you get stat increases, wings, dragon powers, and some extra spell slots. Better for Duskblade than the sorcerer it's meant for.

If you're an elf or half-elf, you can qualify for Arcane Archer really easily. You'd be able to channel spells through both melee and ranged attacks. Just requires you to be at least 7th level.

You could try multi-classing into warlock and take up the mantle of Eldritch Theurge from Complete Mage. Lowers your melee powers a bit, but could be fun with the right spells/invocations.

Speaking of Complete Mage, you can qualify for Abjurant Champion as well, if I recall, with little or no problem. Just make sure you got that Deflect Spell.

Or another one, you could multiclass into Druid and become an Arcane Hierophant (Races of the Wild). I couldn't say how effective that would be, though.

Can't really say what would be the best Prestige class, though. What do you want to do with the character? What is your style? Race? Level?

It is because of that Hold Ray ability.

Duskblade 13 Enlightened Fists 7
Since they still get their class ability, just wear back your shield and Armor...XD

You are going to hit with Full Attack Channeling Enervation, Polar Ray, Disintergrate (for a DC build), or with Arcane discipline: Death Domain to get that Slay Living...XD (Some funning Domain Spell you can mimic...Cure Critical Wound - Mass?!, Fly - Mass, Fireshield - Mass, Spell Resistance - Mass, Spell Immunity - Mass...XD)

Ar, you don't suffer from MAD anyway since Enlightened Fists don't add Wis to AC even unarmored without monk level.

Another One is Duskblade 13 Bard 1 Sublime Chord 6
You get Level 7 Spell to channel...
and Full Channeling Otto's Irri. Dance with reach is just scary to all non-undead, plant, construct and mind-blanked creature....
(Otto's is a Lv 6 Bard Spell...XD)
Though it is MAD.
