Greetings all,

Is anyone aware of a PrC for characters that were formerly inflicted with lycanthropy?

Ravenloft materiels for 3'ed ed, by Sword and Sorcery Studios, had some classes like that. I'm not sure after that...

Are you familiar with what abilities the PrC provided?

It was a pretty lame class. Moonbane, I believe it was called... you either had to currently be a lycanthrope, or had been cured of it. You carried around a pendant made of Canjar Mon SIlver, a Vstani (Gypsy) relic. They suppress the shapechange so you don't go on a wild killing spree.

I think it came out like a ranger/druid hybrid, letting you keep your control over wolves (in the case of the traditional werewolf, insert whatever apropos animal), but gaining back a few other traits like scent, favored enemy lycanthrope, etc. Honestly, it was a poorly done class, you're better off home-bewing it.

If I were playing a lycanthrope, I'd first try to control it. If I couldn't, I'd find a cure. I'm guessing you want it to have meant something?

You could "gain" the lycanthrope bloodline to represent some traits you managed to retain without the changes, I suppose... or you could just highlight changes in your magic/fighting style/etc. Remember, some of the best things you can do in D&D have no rules, and are largely a matter of how you play it, not what the character sheet says.

The Selunite specialty priests from Faiths and Pantheons got some abilities relating to lycanthropic condition, but that'd require you to have a character level of at least 12 (5+ cleric, 7 PrC). How exactly is the character a former lycanthrope, btw?

My player is currently inflicted and has involuntarily changed twice but has not yet turned evil. He’ll eventually be cured (by the next full moon), but felt that he should gain something or be rewarded for the experience in some way.

I was thinking along the lines of the Hunter of The Dead PrC but for lycanthropes a PrC that let him retain some animalistic nature.
