| ahiman03-23-07, 02:07 AM | Is there another PrC that gives both arcane and divine spell casting. I know of the one in the DMG but I wanted to see if there was a "better' one for my character. thanks |
| The_Shaman03-23-07, 09:02 AM | There are a few... Arcane Hierophant (Races of the Wild): Druid/arcanist. Perhaps the most solid imo - full progression of both, stacking of animal companion and familiar into 1 animal, a few extra abilities. True Necromancer (Libris mortis): cleric/arcanist. looks good, but loses a few more spellcasting levels so I can't comment. Non-good. Yathrinshee (Player's Guide to Faerun, vile): kind of like True Necro in 10 levels, basically. Fochlucan Lyrist (CAdv): Yeah, looks very powerful, but a bard/druid is probably among the hardest combos to pull through, and on top of that you need to worry about evasion. Ouch. |

| The_Shaman03-23-07, 09:21 PM | Hmm, TN has to be non-good, so it fits. but the other one can be a problem - technically the Vengeful Banshee could accept CN clerics, but we're talking a drow goddess of vengeance and the undead after all :D . Arcane hierophant requires animal companion imo. Perhaps you could give the Theurge some fluff, say from the Dweomerkeeper specialist cleric (probably not the ability to cast any spell as a Su ability several times per day, though, people say that can be mega-broken). |
| ahiman03-23-07, 11:53 PM | wow that would work for me except that the character is LG and is human. hehe... Well thanks for that, I think I might take one of those (probably the arcane hieriophant) and make it work for the idea. I might take out the animal companion pre-req and take out the familiar and animal companion bonuses. Thanks |
