| GryffonDurime05-29-07, 05:38 PM | Alright, so I'm looking to jury-rig a dual-progression class for an Invoker/Meldshaper; Magic of Incarnum presents no less than three dual-progression classes for divine, arcane, and psionics (the Sapphire Eidolon, Soulcaster, and Soul Manifester), so there's definately a lot of material invested into establishing a standard style for such classes. The Soulcaster could progress the Warlock nicely, if only he could meet the 2nd Level Spell requirements. To that end, can anyone suggest a suitable replacement requirement and changes to its abilities to reflect uses with Eldritch Blast/Invocations rather than spells? |

Replace arcane investment with the ability to increase the essentia capacity of his invocations by 1 (then 2) points beyond normal for his level. Replace magical distillation with the ability to unbind a soulmeld as a swift action to Maximize, Empower, and Heighten +2 his next eldritch blast. Alternatively, if you don't like that, then simply strip the features other than the chakra bind and allow him to use Charisma to determine DCs and max simultaneous melds, instead of Constitution and/or Wisdom. Or combine all three options. Perhaps, allow him to use detect incarnum at will at 2nd level, too. |

Increase DC like with spells? I like it...anyone else have suggestions? |
