09-24-07, 02:56 AM I was just woundering if their were any prestige classes that mixed Palies with a Spontanious Casters, prefuribly with full caster or near full caster levels?

09-24-07, 02:49 PM In theory any of the "gish" PrCs like Abjurant Champion, Spellsword, or Eldritch Knight would work. I think there is another one in the Eberron material but I don't know what it is called.

You may also want to look up a few of the Divine PrCs. Although it is a pain to qualify for the Sacred Exorcist would work very nicely for a Paladin/Sorcerer. It is 3/4 BAB with full casting and a number of other "good" abilities.

I haven't written it out and posted it yet but I'm considering writing a Paladin/Spontaneous hybred PrC. I'm looking at a five level PrC that can be entered by a Pal1/Sor4 (prereqs will probably be Aura of Good, Detect Evil at will, and spontaneously cast 2nd level arcane spells) and will have a 3/4 BAB and full spell progression. I'm looking at d6 or d8 HD with one or two good saves. For abilities I'd have it finish some of the Paladin's goodies (Divine Grace, Divine Health, Aura of Courage), add Paladin Spells to the Spontaneous Spells known, probably convert smite for use with spells, and possibly grant some reduced ASF in exchange for having to follow the Paladin's code and converting your Aura Strength to you arcane caster level. It may be too good but it would be what a Paladin/Sorcerer should be with all the same restrictions.

09-24-07, 07:26 PM We have a full party, Ftr, Wiz, Rge, Clr. We are going to be playing a 5th level Eberron game, and every one else has the base class coverd.

I was thinking of thinking of playing a arcane arm of the Silverflame. I could be a back up everything as a fighter/blaster/healer thing.

As i'm set up now I have a Elf Pal 3/ War2 (Knights Training [Warmage]). My stats are as fallows S11 D13 Co12 I14 W13 Ch19, they look pretty good to me.

I was hopeing to maybe finish a Pal5/War5/Eldritch Knight 10, or maybe I'll just skip a Prc altogether with Knights Training it looks like the classes are realy quite complamentry :D .

09-24-07, 07:34 PM Eldritch Knight/Knight Phantom, Abjurant champioon, and spellsword are classical gish classes, and could help you if you want your character to be a good warrior-mage. The sacred exorcist and the exalted arcanist, btw, are somewhat more plot-oriented, but should also be considered. The exalted arcanist, for example, is a very useful PrC for a warmage due to adding quite a few spells to your class spell list - and hence to your spells known.

09-25-07, 06:23 AM FoRaziel is geat for clerics and the like, but in this case you have to wait to get divine favor from your paladin levels... and that might not necessarily be a good idea as you lose a few more arcane casting levels. Still, if there are enough casters in the party that you're not the main mage, it's not bad - and incidentally, paladins can get DF on the same level (4th) that they get Turn undead, which you can use for all those sweet divine feats. Paladin 4/ sorc 2 (or 1, if you meet the BAB prerequisites)/Abj champ 5/FoR 9 (or 10) is a solid combat build imo.

09-26-07, 07:17 AM Just as a side note, Warlock (Assuming that's what you mean by War/Pal, in the title), is completely incompatible with the paladin. One is LG, the other has to be chaotic or evil. You could go with the Paladin of Freedom (or other such variants)...
