Preastige class for a NE Cleric ? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-14-07, 07:17 AM we are starting a adventure at 8th level so what would be a good preastige class for a NE AL cleric of Mask with the Phantom Template mostly not going to be in the fighting .
Have been told it will be a Rogue type adventure . Interaction and the like but start off not knowing anything or why we have started somewhere . The DM is holding it close to his chest at the moment .
so any ideas out there I dont want to lose levels of caster so I want that maxed out no matter what .

08-14-07, 01:10 PM What is the domain of Mask? I'm not familiar with it. Also, I can't seem to locate the Phantom Template on the SRD, so is there anything there that we should be aware of? Also, you said it was an interaction adventure and you don't want to lose casting levels. Will undead be a major problem, or do you know? Just trying to round out the information.

I don't think there is a specialist PrC of Mask. I myself would probably go with an adaptation of the Darkmask PrC from Lords of Darkness with minimal changes - Mask and Vhaeraun have rather similar outlook iirc. It does not stop your spellcasting, but I'm not sure if it didn't require multiclassing to get into.

The Domains are Evil , Darkness , Trickery and Luck

It is a template with level adjustment of -.
Meaning not suited for players.

Though many DM's allow players to templates like that.

But that template is worth at least a couple of lvl adj.
Ask the Monsters Lair what would be a fair lvl adj for that template.

This entry is a modifier to the base creature’s level adjustment. Any level adjustment is meaningless unless the creature retains a high enough Intelligence (minimum 3) to gain class levels after applying the template
there is nothing about - meaning you cannt have it .
