Hi All,

I have a friend who is playing a lawful evil paladin of hextor (based on one of the recent dragon mag articles on hextor). Anyways he is looking at going into a new class from paladin, and I can't really think of anything. He is level 5 now and wants to keep up with the spell casting either from paladin or from something new. Anyone got any ideas?

It would take some reflavoring but the Fist of Raziel in the Book of Exalted Deeds would make a good Paladin of Hextor prestige class.

Ordained Champion is a good choice, but the class is much more powerful if you are a cleric, over a pally. As a Paladin, you add the War domain spells to your spell list, which isn't bad.

There's a Fist of Hextor in Sword and Fist.

Pious Templar? Nothing zomgftwbbq-awesome, but tough, strong and simple.

Blackguard anyone?

They fit the bill fine.

He could go into Divine Crusader in 2 levels.

I suggest using the Competition domain from Complete Divine, reflavoring it the Conflict domain.
