curious, anything good?
this campaign so far has been mostly if not entirely role playing.
any good ideas?
im LN human with the dragontouched feat and ranks in diplomacy and proffesion diplomat to which i use so that my allies must make will saves or be persuaded to listen to my wiseness (thats my character's opinion) im at level 2 but im planning ahead so i can figure out what might be good to consider. also, i love dragons so any good aligned dragon i see is treated as a deity. and sorcerers who know prestidigitation are treated with respect as my character is constantly fascinated by that spell, planning to get a ring of presto at will.

Marshal from the Miniatures Handbook can be good as a 1- or 2-level dip for your Dragon Shaman.

Especially considering your focus on Diplomacy.

What abilities do you want to have? Thematically, the Dragonkith or the Platinum Knight from the Draconomicon might work for you, but mechanically they may not be very good. I don't have PHBII atm, is there any clarification on whether PrC with casting progression improve your breath weapon?

casting doesnt boost breath wep. thats only for the dragon fire adept
the im gonna take the feat in dragon magic to get a DFA invocation instead of one of my auras. (the one that gives a +6 to diplomacy, sense mot. and bluff for 24 hours)
dragonkithes get a good BAB, enery resistance, the ability to cast a spell, telekinetic speech with companion dragon (i cant get one so this Prc is toast), a 1/day +3d6 damage attack, and nat. armor bonuses.

platinum knight gets nat. armor bonus, smite evil dragons, cha bonus, and spellcasting bonuses but cant do since i need to be good

I don't get what you mean in that last sentence. Do you mean your character won't be of good alignment? Because Platinum Knights have to be (good, that is). And btw, my favourite feature the PrC gets is Divine Grace (the paladin thing): the best part about it is that it actually stacks with paladin DG. A PK with 2 paladin levels and 8 levels in a medium BAB casting class (favoured soul, battle sorcerer, etc) can be a pretty decent secondary warrior/caster imo.

As for dragonkiths, I just consider the PrC unappealing. I don't know, it gets some useful stuff, it's just that I can't get the feeling it doesn't reallly amount to much. And btw, the idea isn't that the dragon is always with you, like a cohort or something, it's that you serve it. That's why the telepathy thing is more of an adventure hook or an RP option - although if the DM doesn't mind, it can be a good "call in the cavalry" power as well, but it will probably happen very rarely. If you have levels in other casting classes - usually not recommended but possible - you could look at the Eldritch X classes and adapt them for the DFA, say be an eldritch disciple of Io or some such.
