Are there any psionic PRC's based around undeath and the control of negative energy?

I'm not specifically looking for one which controls legions of undead, but something fun to play without too many manifest levels lost in the process (if any). I'd been thinking of just making a psionic version of the Pale Master but curious what else was out there. After a few searches didn't pull up much interesting I decided to post this in the hopes that someone knows of one such PRC.

As an adside: I could use suggestions on what to replace some of the abilities with if I do convert Pale Master to psionics. Things like "Undead Armor Affinity" are meaningless to a psionic character since they do not suffer from arcane spell failure. Alternatly this could be an opportunity to develop a completely new PRC... I'm looking for this stuff for a BBEG in a campaign who is already undead and is a powerful psion. I'd like some PRC or class which represents deepening the connection with negative energy already present within an undead creature.

There's two that might work, but they're both 3.0. Check the Mind's Eye for "Grim Psion".

I wouldn't recommend it, though. 3.0 psi is eeeeeeevil.

Complete Psionic has new powers in a category called Stygian powers that you need a feat to be able to learn.

They're not undeath related powers, more like negative energy powers, if I recall correctly. (I don't have my books, I'm violating company policy and surfing the web at work. However, I put in my 2 weeks notice already, it's not like they can fire me. :P )

Psionics is a power of mind, and undead does not have one. At least not in a normal way. I think that's a reason nobody can find one. And that's a reason you'll have big problem explaining it if you'll try to make one on your own.

That could work, but I would rather have him remain a single caster for simplicity.

I looked it over. It seems easy enough to convert. Its a 10 level transformation class making you a psionic undead. It could work.

I know about the stygian powers, and they are most certainly undeath related (Stygian Dominion anyone) so if I stick with psion he'll definetly have some of them.

In this setting undead are just as active psionically as the living. Besides, we don't need to argue realism in a game will spells and unicorns.

Anyway I had an idea... since I couldn't find anything which fit what I wanted, I think I will do a class based on the grim psion, but make it 14 levels long and ending with the subject becoming a true psilich. Might take some inspiration from true necromancer/pale master as well. Anyone want to help?

If setting allows psionic undead, I see no reason not to create specific PrC for interaction. As for start - do you prefer him to control/affect undead, or to become one, or both? And what'd be a source of his undead being/affecting psi powers? Are you gong to create some new ones, did you found a official ones, or there already are setting-dependent powers? Knowing the basics is a best start ;)

The plan was to base it off of the existant stygian powers in complete psionics. To make a 14 level prestige class which over the course gives some power over undead and transforms him into a psi-lich. Entry requirements will require at least level 6, meaning he won't reach lich-dom till character level 20. The class will require a psicrystal which will eventually be subsumed into the creature's body and become a psionic Mother Cyst granting access to psionic versions of the cyst spells.

As for the source of his power, I think psionically creating negative energy, as by the stygian ray and other powers, will suffice as a fluff explaination.

Just so you know, in this setting psionics and magic are different. There is no interaction betwixt the two, to the point that a psionic power can pass through a magical wall of force. I'm not the DM, but I am helping him come up with fun stuff on the side.

We are using the psianimate dead power from Hyperconscious as well as some other undead-affecting psionics from other sources. He is also allowing some spells to have psionic variants which channel negative energy psionically to do essentially the same thing.

I will make a new thread for the class when I've finished the initial version. What would you suggest for ML progression? Right now I have a 12/14 manifester progression. This could be decreased to 11/14 and still grant 9th level powers at level 20.

More you put in other bonuses, less you can put into ML. It's impossible to know the balance now ;) I'd say minimal ML needed for 9'th level powers and then go on with other bonuses to fill the freed "power space" (in the meaning from "power curve", not from "power points" ;) )

It may be good, it may be crap. Here's the class, tell me what you think. It took me a while to get all my thoughts down coherantly. :D
