| dman1123510-02-07, 11:57 PM | That depends on a lot of things. Like, the rest of the PrC, the feat in question, the requirements for the PrC. Order of the Bow Initiate gets an epic feat at level 2. But it's not a very powerful one (close combat shot) compared to others (epic spell casting). |

Capstone abilities are a lot like graduation presents. They don't help you much while your studying 8 hours a day and working a part time job to pay for all your books/+5 slaying arrows. |

But capstone abilities should be more like a diploma though. Since you have slogged through all the crap, the endless hours of pain and suffering, then at long last you got something that really makes you better than the :censored: hole who doesn't have it and is whining because you do have it, and you use it. --------- :lightbulb This is getting sigged. |

Something that's nice, but not too powerful. A good example I gave at an earlier time was the monk's perfect self. You're now an outsider, and have DR 10/magic. That's not that great an ability, but it's nice to have, and it finishes the class (not saying the rest of the monk was well made). Another example (again a bad class, but good capstone example) is the Order of the Bow Initiate. Also the scout's blind sight. Barbarian's mighty rage. Ninja's Ghost Walk. You get the idea. PrCs may be an exception, as you may be able to use the capstone for more than just that last level. |
