Question about Radiant Servant of Pelor [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-16-07, 11:19 PM Regarding the special ability to Empower/Maximaze healing spells without affecting their level, does this pertain only to healing spells prepared in domain spell slots or to all spells from the healing domain regardless of if it is a domain or regular spot?

For instance, if I filled up all of my 1st level slots (including my domain slot) with Cure Light Wounds, would I be able to Empower/Maximize all of them for free or only the one in the domain slot?

08-17-07, 12:58 AM Only the one in the Domain Slot, you are giving up a bonus spell that normally can't be spontaneously transformed into a healing spell (aka a bit of bonus utility a cleric has) in order to cast a healing spell much more powerfully for free.

That is the trade off.

Yep. This also costs you a fair amount of versatility, given how many wizard spells are usually on domain lists!

08-17-07, 09:29 AM But it is a good trade off. My radiant servant had "Divine MetaMagic" and "Reach Spell" so by spending 3 turning attempts I could turn my Domain Cure spell into an Empowered, Maximized, Ranged Touch attack and heal comrades from up to 30ft away!
