groveborn 03-05-08, 02:57 AM	When a prestige class uses "+1 to existing spell caster class", does this mean that you are effectively a higher level of (let's use a wizard for the fun of it), but without the extra bits, or do you just use this for determining spells per day? Let's use a common L3 Wizard/ L3 Cleric/ L10 Mystic Thuerage. When no longer advancing as Mystic Theurage, does this character start back at 3 for leveling up, or do they start at level 13, thus missing all the nifty feats and abilities in the process, but still advancing in non-dead levels?
Nirid 03-05-08, 03:01 AM	It means that you calculate their ability to cast spells (spells known, highest level, bonus spells, and spells per day) based on their base caster level plus whatever the PrC granted. If you went back to wizard you would get all the benefits a level 4 wizard gets and advance your spells one more level becoming a 14th level wizard for the purposes of spells only. So as you said you got spells without all the extras, but you pick the extras up where you left off instead of level 14.
